Guesthouse Storelli — Hotel in Dubrovnik

My husband and I have been staying on Lopud for several years. We won't stay anywhere else if we can help it. The apartments are spacious and have a good size kitchen. The key to fully using the kitchen is to shop at the grocery store next to the Port in Dubrovnik. ||||The beds are super comfortable and the apartments have a washing machine and AC! The best part of the apartment is that it comes with two owners who really care, Tomo and Judy. Tomo grew up on Lopud and is very active in the community. Everyone knows him and Tomo is committed to keeping Lopud a safe and peaceful town. His wife Judy is just the best. Not only is she kind but she is lively, vivacious and will bend over backwards to make your experience a great one. ||||If you run out of something crucial, Tomo and Judy will help you find it. I needed malaria pills because I was heading to Africa after my European vacation. I was freaking out because they were impossible to find. Tomo made one phone call and located them in Zagreb. Someone he knew was actually going to ship them to me on Lopud. THAT is the kind of service you get.||||Tomo and Judy speak several languages, including English, Spanish, German and Italian. We stayed in a triple room with ensuite bathroom with our 3 year old son. Very happy to recommend Storelli Apts as a lovely and clean place to stay. Ivana the owner is fantastic and was friendly and helpful. || Just a few minutes walk up from the water through a beautiful stone walled, narrow path. There are some steps to negotiate but nothing too arduous. ||||On retrospect wish we had known there was no cooking facility for the rooms or outside sitting area, as the island is extremely expensive to eat out in. Wish we’d taken a small cafetiere so we could have at least made coffee with the kettle in the room and had a continenal breakfast on our small balcony. There’s a small fridge in the room so it’s possible to store a small amount of food. Strongly recommend buying supplies from the mainland though as the two small grocery stores charge very high prices.||But this aside, Storelli apts are great and very good...

These rooms are very quiet being situated up a stepped street away from the waterfront which means you also get a lovely view if your room faces the beach. The room itself was clean and a good size with a small but functional bathroom and a little balcony. There were no toiletries provided in the bathroom not even soap which wasn't a problem as I had some with me but it's worth noting and remembering to pack some as there is only a small shop on the island with limited trading hours, although if you needed to you can always hop on a ferry back to Dubrovnik where there is a large supermarket very close to where the ferry docks. There is a small fridge in the room which is handy for keeping drinks cool and the bed was very comfy. It was a lovely relaxing...
