Noemi's rooms — Hotel in Grad Rovinj

Do not bother trying to stay at this place. We had booked ahead of time and were told that if we arrived after 8pm we would have to call to have them let us in. That’s fine, so we started trying to call at about 7:30 to let them know we’d be late. We continued trying to do so for the next TWO HOURS. The phone number linked on their website does not work, and they weren’t answering on WhatsApp. We ran into others who were also locked out, so we weren’t alone. We tried contacting them in every way possible. I’m talking phone, WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, Airbnb, email, etc. No response. The four of us sat outside for a good amount of time before we finally gave up and found somewhere else to stay, because at this point it was past 9pm and about 90° F outside. They finally emailed us back at around 10pm and told us we’d have to walk ~15-20 each way to go get the key from somewhere else in the city. Once we informed them we had found somewhere else to stay, they informed us that we would not be getting a refund because “they have no record of us trying to call them before 8pm” — yeah, because the phone number doesn’t work!! I book this room on booking.com.After I book they leave the key of the room in garden in one of the roses ( There were 50 roses and in the night ) What kind of service and hospitality is this ????!!!! Please explain me this.After I couldnt enter in the room which was 1.8 km walking distance from this so called reception .The host didnt respond on any of 20 calls on whattsup or normal calls or booking messages in the evening !!!!???? What is this in 21 century ??? What if there is really something going wrong . Perfect stay at the perfect price!

We loved our room! So quaint with the beams and yet tastefully updated. We had read reviews about the stairs being an issue, but didn’t really find them to be a problem (and we’re in our 60s). Spotlessly clean and comfy beds!
