The name of the house has changed in "Guesthouse Ljubo & Ana". There is a studio, a 2 bedroom apartment and a double room. Stayed 2 nights in the studio. Owners very friendly. Wellcome with Slivovitsj, made by themselves. Studio very clean, quiet and cosy, with balcony and view at the hills. For people with a car, there is free parking at the guesthouse. We travelled with public transport and the guesthouse is at 15 minutes walking from Entrance 1 of the N.P.Plitvice, where the busstop is, and a small supermarket in the souvenirshop, with basic things for a breakfast, but no fruit or vegetables. When we told to Ana, we were not able to buy fruits, she offered us some fruit and that was kindly.. It is possible to take the breakfast at the covered terrace of the guesthouse, for 7 euro pp. Some other guesthouses in the environment give dinner. We walked to House Sasa with restaurant, at 1km. The trout was excellent. Some minor problems were resolved very quickly; So the lock of our room was not working very well, and the next day it was already replaced. Wifi is free. We loved the quiet location. It is possible to make some nice walks there, outside the N.P. To walk from the guesthouse to the entrance of the N.P. or to the busstop or shop, I recommend to walk over the big parkinglot of the N.P. It is shorter and safier than walking along the busy main road. Recommended for a visit to the N.P. and even for a relaxed day away from the crowds. When we were leaving with our luggage to the busstop, we had to climb and both owners were at home, but did not propose us a car transfer to the busstop. We should had...
Read moreWe spent one (1) evening here during our month long tour of Croatia, staying the night before visiting Pitvice Lakes National Park the next morning. The apartment was located on the ground floor and it was immaculate. Parking was available on site and the building is very close to entrance 1 of the park. ||Our hosts live in the same complex and warmly welcomed us, offering something to drink. They were friendly and available but not obtrusive in any way.||The kitchen was well equipped but we did not cook any meals here, we did, however, use the fridge to keep or wine and beer cold. The bathroom was equipped with a washing machine and there was a small terrace at the front as one enters the apartment. The apartment’s decoration is somewhat dated but it all works and is very homey. Everything was so charming and neat.||We had a very restful sleep, it was so peaceful and quiet, and it gets really dark in the evenings.||Breakfast was an additional charge. We requested a breakfast as we wanted to arrive at the park when it opened. Our hostess put on quite the spread including fruit, cheese, an omelet, breads, juices, yogurt, homemade cookies and the best coffee. It was served in the sunroom.||The surrounding grounds are well tended and we really enjoyed or stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. You can leave your car and walk to the entrance of the park, it is about a 10 minute walk. We...
Read moreWe were very satisfied with our stay at Guest House Ljubo & Ana, where we had a clean and comfortable room with one double and one twin bed (note that the twin bed lacked sheets, so if you think you might use it, be sure to check and ask for them). We elected to book two nights at the guesthouse so that we could enter the park as soon as it opened and spend as much time as we wanted on the day of our visit there instead of having to watch the clock in order to move on to our next destination. Breakfast was simple but ample: bread, boiled eggs (or cooked to order upon request), cheese, ham, and the highlight--excellent homemade jam of which Ana is rightfully proud. The guesthouse is very close to Entrance 1 (walking distance, although we chose to drive to the parking lot at the entrance). It is also very near an excellent restaurant, House Katarina, where we enjoyed dinner so much we returned a second night. We would recommend Guest House Ljubo & Ana to anyone visiting...
