Loved that we chose to stay in Mukinje in order to visit Plitvice and equally happy we chose Bor Guesthouse! This modest guesthouse was exactly what we needed: cozy, clean, quiet with restaurant/bar, market and entrance #2 to the park just a quick and pleasant walk away. Additional reasons to stay here: 1.) It allowed us to get in early before the tour buses arrived! We bought tickets for 7am (shuttles start shortly after 8am..fyi..Should the trek you are taking within the park require you to initially take a shuttle from entrance two) Walk to Guesthouse was peaceful and pretty. A set of stone steps takes you into the heart of Mukinje village from the guesthouse Street 2.) The owner grew up here and there's nothing like having a local to guide and host you when Plitvice was his backyard as a kid! 3.) Completely economical to stay here! Great room with TV, hilly views, warm shower and comfortable beds. There is instant coffee/tea with hot water kettle. Our room had a bonus balcony and we enjoyed watching the sunsetting sky while a local soccer game was being played. The front yard has delicious plums and crabapples to snack on, too! 4.) And though we did not have a car, there is a parking lot for those who need it. Do yourself a favor and book here. This is a simple place that checks all the boxes! Nebojsa was very friendly and helpful. He kindly upgraded us from a standard room to the apartment for free as he had no one staying in it. He also gave us great advice about visiting the lakes, telling us exactly what route to take to see all the main parts within a day. We had a perfect day out in the park. ||||The apartment was lovely, very clean and comfortable. It felt very modern and was nicely decorated. The kitchen was simple but well equipped with everything you need for making breakfasts and pack lunches (we didn't try to make an evening meal). The bed was very comfortable. The light does come in through the balcony door in the mornings as the sun rises on that side so take an eye mask if that will bother you. There was a fan provided in the apartment, although it was very hot in the day, it cooled down a lot at night and we were perfectly comfortable with the fan.||||We ate at the pizzeria next door both nights. The food there is good and it's very convenient to be able to walk next door for a meal.||||We had a perfect stay and would definitely stay here again if...

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting plitvice Lake national park. Check in was very easy. The host speaks perfect English, is very friendly and informative. The whole place is spotless. We had a small room with a joining bathroom. The room has a large double bed, TV, small table and chairs, kettle, tea and coffee, shower, towels, shower gels and soaps and hairdryer. Everything you need for a few nights. The host talked us through his recommendations for the best way to see the park, we folllwed these instructions and had a brilliant day. The place is located approx 20 minute walk through the woods from entrance 2. The restaurant right next door is nice and very reasonably priced.we ate there both nights, and they offer basic Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta.
