Guest House Yellow Jajcevic — Hotel in Općina Rakovica

Great guest house 5 minutes drive from Plitvice entrance 1 and a few minutes further on to entrance 2.We had 2 bedroom apartment with extra bed (sofabed) for 5 of us.Apartment perfectly great( not modern but quaint) for our 2 night stay.It had everything you could need,even down to needle and thread,iron,and cards! Owners very nice and gave us homemade cake on arrival!! Jolly nice too! Owners spoke german but no english,but not a problem as if needed to ask anything she just called her daughter who did speak english on phone and handed to me!!Nice balcony to look over garden and fruit trees.I would suggest you google it before you arrive as up a small lane and not really signposted well.The google map will show you location and what landmarks to look for next to turn off.It is near Old Shatterhand restaurant.Her daughter also told me where to walk from house to swim in river (great after long walk round waterfalls!!)Only suggestion would be that it needs safety deposit box,but then owners were always in in bottom apartments.Two restaurants within walking distance.Two supermarkets 200m up road ,open till 9pm.If going to waterfalls get there at 7am to get park space and avoid HUGE queues.We saw queues at 11am for entrance tickets of 300m long... ie hours of waiting and definately NO car...
