Anita is the best host ever! We had such a good visit the first time we returned for two more nights the following week. It's an amazing value - double room and a full breakfast for a very low rate. AND If you are lucky enough to stay when Anita and her husband are preparing Croatian peka ("under the bell"), you are in for a real treat. It's the best we've had in Croatia - huge portions, melt-in-your-mouth pork, divine carrots, plum pie, cheesecake, and the most divine potatoes ever. The entire meal is 20 euros and even if you are not staying here, call and see if you can reserve a spot for this meal! The lodge itself is slightly older and has no AC, but we didn't need it, even in July. The outdoor spaces are lovely and there are lots of places for different groups to gather and visit. The WIFI was spotty, we were off WIFI more than on it. The owner was so nice though, the breakfast was really good in the mornings. Another big thing is that they didn't accept credit cards, this wasn't known to us before checking in or mentioned to us at check in. So when we went to check out, we were told cash only...Kuna or Euro, we had to scrounge together some cash to be able to pay, as we weren't carrying much...

The shower is old and the showerhead fitting is not functioning so even I need to crouch to get the water on my head. When confronted the front desk just told us they could not help it and kindly declined assistance. The family room is a couch in the hallway. All in all, simply not worth the money they ask.
Update: one star added for the breakfast provided with lactose free and soy milk. The bed is very hard. And the tv works with two remotes and you need to get out of bed to change the channel... not...
