Ktima 1937 Kannides — Hotel in Drouseia

We recently stayed here for 4 nights and expected a more luxurious stay (from the pictures and reviews), but sadly this place has very little investment and kept running on the bare minimum.||We arrived mid afternoon to find the place unmanned. There was a simple sign on the walls to say ‘Call Mrs X for keys’. So I called from my mobile 3 times (paying international rates) and after a wait a lady arrived to give us the keys to our apartment. Whilst the apartment was rustic and traditional, which was what we expected for mountain village accommodation, it was old and dated. The shower was very small and you could barely turn round in it. The pool was ok (although I spotted a few cockroaches in the side openings) and probably the best part. It overlooked a small alleyway with a big dump truck and tractor parked there, which wasn’t the most scenic but kept my 2 year old quite interested. ||The hospitality was almost non existent; the lady who manned the place on her own (providing keys, cleaning etc and was only there part the time) was nice enough, and answered questions when asked and tried her best to help. There was a small shop by the pool with a few leaflets, and was only open when the lady was around. ||This place could be wonderful, but sadly, it isn’t. ||The village was simple and small, there was no real center, with a small convenience store and 3 small...

Now we found a nice little getaway if you like traditional buildings with a pool this is for you and for €55 a bargain for us we were visiting paphos so we wanted a nights getaway instead of driving back to larnaca we booked this for one night stay my only thing no tea or coffee for a cup of tea when we got there as the cafe was closed so if you could just put some little pots of milk and coffee & tea bags enough for a drink when we get there would be nice kitchen was fully equipped with what you need for a long stay see video thank you I would definitely recommend this place to anyone nights sleep was great no noise the sofa was a bit uncomfortable after sitting for a while so we sat in the bedroom before bed time and if you love cats there plenty of them too bring cat biscuits with you. 😊: The property features all the old rustic vintage vibes we where looking for. 😢: What we didn’t like was the lack of privacy lest start we the veranda not being divided properly hence no privacy from the people in the room next to us trying to have a coffee in peace was mission impossible with kids playing on the veranda adjacent to us and in the pool like come on I’m coming out the room and I can see people having breakfast it’s not the best for anyone involved in this situation now . the room we left the room for 1-2 max and someone came in the room when it clearly stated on the booking that on one would be serving the room for 3 days so why did they enter the room without us knowing we will never know the one thing I didn’t like in our room what the bathroom yes you can keep the old rustic look while you do some upgrades the bathroom was very tired overall definitely not worth...
