Gül Gün Apartment — Hotel in Gazimağusa Belediyesi

Considering that the whole island gets their electricity from a main generator, you will think that the apartment owners will have their own generator as they are in the self-catering apartments business. The down side is that I stayed some hours, on different couple of days without electricity. Consequently, when there is no electricity there's no Internet, & with magusa's over 25• heat/ sun the place is hot + uncomfortable as there no air condition when there's no light. This wasn't so good. On the good side, the couple are nice, friendly helpful and decent folks. You get your privacy. I was there on my own for few days, and they always looked out for me. We have been traveling through eastern Europe for six months and have stayed in many apartments. Our 2-night stay at Gul Gun Apartment was a complete disappointment. The 2-bedroom apartment was not clean, the kitchen sink was dirty and the kitchen counter had not been cleaned. The worst part was that the host knew that the water pressure in the shower was extremely low and that there would be no hot water in the shower. When I let him know about it after the first night, he said that a part needed to be repaired and indicated that it would repaired after our stay. He knew about the issue and he still put us in that unit and was very quick to take our payment. I do not...

we ended up on another place when we arrived. (he had electricity problem in his apartments, he told us) the owner announced us that when we arrived. he was polite and asked us if it is ok, but i did not have energy to look for another place, after whole day in the city.

it would have been fair to tell me this via the phone in advance and send me photos in advance (we were already communicating whole day for the arrival and parking). the bed sheets were super weird,...
