Hotel Berg — Hotel in okres Česká Lípa

I have just got back from this hotel, and wanted to write my review. On entry the receptionist really does make this hotel. very helpful and is in breakfast in the morning and diner in the evening.

the wellness is really good with 4 different saunas, although the hot tub and pool are not huge, and would be quite tight if more than 4 people in either.

during our stay, there was only a fixed menu, and not a great selection. we decided to eat at another location as the choice was not really what we would enjoy :(

the rooms are very clean, although ours on floor 3 was a little tight both in the bedroom and the bathroom, where we could only open the door maximum 2 thirds.

the location is really good, right next to the lake and at the start of the Blue walking route.

we didn't book any massages prior to arrival, but found all availability was fully booked, so unable to comment on these services.

The following, I believe, equates to three stars.

Due to being unable to eat an evening meal due to only 1 meat option of food.

At breakfast, there was only a small amount of each option, so we had to ask for more each day, as an example 1 slice of cheese and limited bread.

As said above restriction in not being able to fully open the bathroom door.

Shower where you can not bend and just about turn around in.

The hot tub which fits max 4 same as pool.

Staff taking items from the buffet for themselves, possibly leading to the limited breakfast, and no excuse to not see the limited availability.

Coffee machine needing repairing each day.

The bed is 2 separate mattresses, which separate during the nigh.

My review above was a general overview and I was not going to go into specifics, but due to your response, I felt it only fair to fully reply.

For me and the previous hotels I have stayed in (feel free to look on here and booking.con) in my opinion, a rate of 3 is more than acceptable, although after this response, will not...

Just to summarise all the positives and negatives: with the arrival we've been told that the usage of whatever for sport and wellness areas is limited to 7p.m..... and this is not mentioned on the website of the hotel. As i said this and asked how possible that is open until 7pm only, we've been told in an unfriendly way "go to another hotel if we don't like it as it is" ||Then also the breakfast is late (7:30am) for people on business trip way to late. Than as we asked if possible to take out the breakfast of the payment since we cannot have it we've been told again on a very unfriendly way "just to go to another hotel if we don't like it as it is". .... We were shocked because just because of questioning the offer of the hotel and asking friendly questions we were more or less asked to leave the hotel. ...i felt reminded to to the old days of socialism as when you faced people that have own head and do not obey you just banish them. ||It seem they are not open to any criticism here and don't want customer that do not obey!||||Sorry. ..I give my best, but unfortunately...

Všechno důležité celkem v pohodě, i když za tuto cenu se dá najít lepší protihodnota (myslím, že úroveň hotelu je tak 3,5, ty avízované 4 jsou hodně s odřenýma ušima - viz dále). Zajímavostí hotelu je velmi dobře zásobená vinotéka vč. archívních vín i pro velmi náročné (a velmi movité), a checkout 11/16 (opuštění pokoje do 11 hodin, ale opuštění areálu do 16 hodin, což obnáší možnost uschování zavazadel i využívání wellness a dalšího zázemí hotelu). Jídlo dobré, kuchyně se prezentuje jako italská + pizzerie, ale potěšila by nějaká "denní nabídka" i na večeři. Po 3 dnech už byl problém si něco vybrat, tak jsme šli povečeřet jinam. Navíc mám osobně problém s pivem Staropramen (prostě mi vadí, že se vaří z vltavské vody - ano, z říční vody z Vltavy). Ještěže byla k dispozici alespoň lahvová Plzeň. Poněkud překvapivé u 4* hotelu je, že recepce není v provozu celodenně, přičemž najít tuto informaci na webových stránkách dá zabrat, resp. toto vůbec nečekáte a tudíž to ani nehledáte. Pokud tedy jste dobrodružné povahy nebo lovci kešek, tak si naplánujte pozdní příjezd (po 19. hod.) a domluvte se předem telefonicky, kde máte hledat klíče od pokoje. Buzola a baterka se můžou hodit... :-) Jinak se snažte to stihnout do těch 19 hod. A pokud byste večer něco potřebovali, tak máte smůlu - pokud to nezařídí obsluha v restauraci (která má svou práci tam, samozřejmě jen do zavíračky), tak v hotelu už nikdo jiný není. :-( Wellnes (bazén, vířivka, sauny) je v ceně, ovšem pouze 9-19 hod. a sauny dokonce jen 16:30-18:30. Po 19. hod. si můžete za poplatek rezervovat wellness pro sebe, ale i kdyby tam žádná rezervace nebyla, tak se tam už jít nedá. Pokud tedy hodláte strávit celý den aktivně mimo hotel, wellnessu si moc neužijete (resp. museli byste si zaplatit večerní privát). Pokoje nejsou klimatizovány, ale můžete si za poplatek půjčit přenosnou klima jednotku. Naprostou katastrofou je ovšem ten Ringoland uvnitř - galerie Františka Ringo Čecha s možností prohlídky, vč. prodeje CD, obrazů, grafických listů, různých upomínkových předmětů... Hotel se tím chlubí pod heslem "RINGOLAND je místem kde začíná a končí umění" (no, spíše jen končí...). Nám to přišlo vyloženě rušivé, nevkusné a do "romantického wellness hotelu", jak se hotel prezentuje, zcela nepatřičné. Bohužel, pokud chcete jít do wellness, tak se tomu nedá vyhnout a musíte projít přes celou tuto galerii. Ještěže pokoje a zbytek hotelu jsou zařízeny celkem normálně... Takže výsledné hodnocení snižujeme na 3* především za ten Ringoland, jinak by to bylo...
