Královská cesta - penzion — Hotel in okres Brno-město

Just catch the trams 1 or 6 out to Kartouska or Jungmanova , then it's an easy walk to this bright and friendly Penzion/ Restaurant in the street behind the main road/tramlines, - this has the benefit of hearing little traffic noise. The Restaurant / breakfast room is bright and airy with a lovely terrasse with an interesting mural to entertain while you eat||The rooms are spacious well appointed and have an enormous modern bathroom . At the windows blinds could be drawn to keep cool during the day . The Bed was a kingsize , with a nice firm mattress and comfortable for some-one who is not always the best sleeping away from home !!||The breakfasts were superb with a choice of a cooked plate plus yogurts ,cereals , meat spreads and jams , 3 breads, coffee, tea and juices.||The restaurant serves excellent meals and great wine-- The Salmon with water-cress and cherry tomato sauce was fantastic !! My husband raved about the Valtice chardonnay and his pork steak was excellent !!||All the staff were so friendly and helpful, it was such a pity we could not stay longer than 3 nights; When we return to Brno we would have no hesitation to stay at Penzion...

I was looking for a last-minute accommodation for a weekend business trip and this guesthouse/hotel was one of the few available left. I was very nicely surprised.||||Rooms - renovated, clean, suitably furnished, I didn't find one negative thing about the room itself. I also had windows to the street and to the backyard. The street can get a little noisy, but closing the window solved the problem. ||||Location - as I said, the house opposite to the guesthouse is little noisy and odd people live there, but I didn't find it as a problem. There is a tram station 4 minutes by foot, which is really convenient. ||||Breakfast - You can choose from 4 "main dishes" for breakfast (eggs and bacon, so sweet pastry, etc...) and then there is plenty of other food, including cereals. I was satisfied. ||||Restaurant and staff - I had 2 dinners at the restaurant and twice ordered the same meal. The first time It was delicious, the next day it was good, I guess it depends on who is cooking that night. The lady working there was VERY nice and helpful, however young guy...

Mrzí mě to, ale za mě jedno z nejhorších ubytování co jsem kdy zažil. Naštěstí jsem zde byl pouze na 2 noci a jen kvůli přespání, ale celková kvalita nebyla dobrá.

První věc, která není úplně komfortní je způsob předání ubytování. At už při příjezdu tak odjezdu. Přijel jsem na místo penzionu a nevěděl jak se vlastně dostat dovnitř. Žádný zvonek, recepce nebo někdo kdo by mě pustil dál. Ok, toto jsem vyřešil tak že jsem si na webu penzionu našel číslo a zavolal. Následně mi pán na telefonu ověřil ubytování a poslal sms kde byl kód k bezpečnostní skříňce před hotelem, ve které byly klíče. Ocenil bych třeba alespoň nápis na dveřích s infem. Stejně tak při odchodu se nechávají klíče na pokoji. Zajímalo by mě, jak by se řešilo, kdyby například někdo do pokoje po mém odchodu vešel a něco odcizil nebo rozbil.

Druhá věc byla, že u penzionu aktuálně probíhala rekonstrukce střechy. Tedy všude byl nepořádek a hluk. Nejzábavnější byl žebřík, který vedl na střechu z vnitřní části hotelu přímo vedle mého okna. Nevím jestli to bylo kvůli rekonstrukci, ale namísto snídaně na hotelu byl na pokoji lísteček s oznámením, že snídaně se na hotelu nepodávají a mám zkusit restaurace v blízkém okolí. To je sice hezké, ale většina z nich otevírá až v 7:30 - 8 hodin což je k ničemu, když člověk potřebuje být tou dobou už v práci.

Třetí věc. Vybavení a celkový stav pokoje mě také moc nenadchl a ani moc neodpovídá fotografiím na webu. V koupelně zápach z odtoku umyvadla, plíseň na stropě a žádné mýdlo. (respektive byly tam dva jednorázové balíčky, jeden se sprchovým gelem a jeden šampon což není moc na třídenní pobyt). Toto naštěstí vyřešila koupě mýdla a sprchového gelu v nedalekém obchodě. V pokoji je televize, která ale není připojená, takže na ní nic nenaladíte. Připojení k jinému zařízení jsem nezkoušel, hdmi kabel jsem u sebe neměl. Poslední věc která stojí za zmínku je asi absence klimatizace, kterou bych dnes na hotelu/penzionu v letních dnech bral už jako standard. Na místo ní zde byl větrák, za který jsem ale byl nakonec rád. Lepší než nic. Lednička zde nebyla vůbec.
