The positive things first - the reception and welcome was friendly, the spa and pool area is very nice and clean. The smoothie we ordered to the pool was really good and fair in price. We had a Deluxe room, even tho I am not sure what was exactly deluxe about it. It was a standard room with a balcony, table and 2 chairs wouldnt hurt you guys.
After our spa & pool time we were pretty relaxed, sadly we couldnt take a hot shower afterwards, because there was no hot water at all.
However, the whole stay took quite a turnaround, when it came to the dinner in the restaurant, which we expected to be quite nice for such prices and a 4* hotel. The service didnt bother to great us or serve us for about 10 minutes, while we sat there, waiting for somebody to actually care, enjoying the plastic garden chairs, without any decoration or even sheets on the table. The Pepsi fridge with some lemondes in it gives instant vienna pizzabuden vibes, like you are waiting for your pizza or döner.
Since i am austrian and dont speak czech, i told the service, when he finally showed up, that I dont understand the Specials menu, and I need an english menu. He didnt understand me and said only czech. Okay, I google lensed it, still pretty sad of service.
The food was okay, ignoring the fact that you guys obviously dont know what a pokebowl is, ans you drowned my single slice of meat in 2L of sauce, which I kindly asked afterwards to soak up the sauce with some white bread, the friendly staff told me, you are out of bread. Lol. Okay. I got some dark bread in the end. Overall just a very weird experience regarding the restaurant, it just doesnt fit. The decoration and tables etc. Doesnt meet the expectations.
The breakfast was actually quite nice, the location didnt bother us for Breakfast, it just doesnt fit for a nice dinner.
Happily, my wife enjoyed since she cried tears during the Restaurant experience, we got a refund of 25€ for the no hot water situation.
Overall, weird stay, wouldnt come again because of the Restaurant and staff there.
PS.: its cool you guys are a pet friendly hotel. But you allow the fact that people dont use leashes on their big dogs. There was a big dog running around freely in the kitchen and restaurant. Thats just not okay and shows the staff doesnt care or cant handle...

Built in 1985 as a convalescent hospital and it shows! Still, it does have a certain unique character, but everything still feels like it's from 1985! I think some of the rules are the same. They have what could be a fantastic evening bar terrace. We had a swim, sauna and Jacuzzi (there is a small additional fee for up to three persons to use the private Jacuzzi for 25 minutes) and then wanted to have a drink in the bar attached to the restaurant. The spa closes at ten pm. I think it's natural to expect a bar to be open later than this, and also for people to head here to "complete their relaxation." The moon was out, it was a warm evening, there was a great view of the lake and we were looking forward to sipping a couple of cocktails to end the evening. However, the bar closed before 10.30, what a shame and a waste! Yesterday, we stayed at a bizarre hotel in Krakow that was run by nuns, they managed to have a 24 hour bar in reception! Our room, apparently a "luxury deal" featured a view of the bins, a scrub hillside, and the neglected tennis court, and was obviously south facing, as I've never come across curtains that actually amplify the sunrise. I was awake by six am! Probably a good job I couldn't get a drink last night after all! All round, interesting and quirky, just let down by a couple of issues. On the positive side, the wellness centre does have a choice of two saunas and a steam room. One of the saunas is fantastic and log fired. Fabulous temperature and humidity levels (be aware, they don't allow swim suits in here, but they do provide sheets). Right next to this is a properly cold shower and automatically filling drenching bucket which is perfectly icy, and an outdoor seating area. Breakfast was poor quality.

Read moreGreat business stay of 3 nights. ||Check in was smooth, even if the first lady was a tiny bit of the grumpy side after my special requests :) But, service was amazing; a room change late in the first evening was not a problem. ||I had insisted for a 'lake view' room; these rooms are actually above the concrete parking lot, the lake is not in the main view.. and the backside of the building is not estetic.. MOSTLY, the very strong ventilation of the restaurant was loud and brought kitchen smell to the backyard. If you like it quite, I recommend a "tennis court" side room. There is no 'panorama' but you overlook the court and a green hill and its extremely quiete - I even used the not real inviting balcony to sip my coffee from the room's coffee machine. Nice! ||The rooms are absolutely spotlessly clean. ||Quite comfortably designed. Good storage. ||I had only a TINY TABLE, which was just at the limit for laptop use but all went well. ||||WHY I WILL DEFINITILY CHOOSE this hotel FOR MY NEXT BUSINESS TRIP IN BRNO? ||Additionally to the above, the hotel allows you to really enjoy the pre- and after work. ||Breakfast, dinner, or drinks on the terrace with the stunning view of the lake. ||Restaurant dinner/breakfast are on a very good level. Good selection of drinks and local beers.||Book a SPA package: the sauna visits were heling after full days at AMPER.. ||I had several runs along the lake in the green. ||Convenient: freePARKING on the hotel grounds. Surroundings can get crowded...
