Hotel Rozvoj — Hotel in okres Klatovy

This is a very dated hotel but is still worth a stay. We stayed to break the car journey from Nuremberg to Prague and to see something of the countryside. The room we had was basic but very clean with good bed linen. The bathroom was tiny and the shower just ok. What made this a good place to stay was what you got for the price and the generosity of the owners and staff who did their utmost to make your stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was excellent and the prices were great too. The hotel is situated in a quiet area so we could leave our window open all night. There is a terrace outside the restaurant so I don't know how the noise level would be on the weekends or if there was a function in the restaurant. I suspect that mostly it would not be an issue. If you are still awake at midnight you will hear, in the distance, a trumpeter playing a beautiful short tune. It is repeated four times. It is a wonderful...

Ein einfaches Hotel, das tatsächlich schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Entscheidend ist hier allerdings, das es alles mitbringt, was man als normaler Gast alles braucht. Eine kleine Rezeption, die 24 Stunden besetzt ist.

Für Rollstuhlfahrer gibt es eine extra Rampe bis zur Hotellobby.

Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, aber ausreichend groß. Aus der Dusche kommt warmes Wasser noch in der richtigen Menge, fast schon ein Novum. In dem, mir zugewiesenen Zimmer fehlten beide Steuerketten für die Jalousien. Ohne Licht und Luft geht bei mir gar nichts, also bin ich zurück zur Rezeption und habe das bemängelt. Anstandslos bekam ich denn ein anderes Zimmer. Ein „Einzelzimmer“ mit 3 Betten und immerhin einer funktionstüchtigen Jalousie. Das Waschbecken ist sehr tief „angebracht“ und nicht befestigt.

1.000 tschechische Kronen (= 40,89 €) für die Nacht. Für 5 Nächte 5.000 tschechische Kronen (= 204,44 €), inklusive eines super Frühstücks ein wirklich unvergleichlicher Preis!

Das Ambiente und das Platzangebot im Frühstücksraum ist erwähnenswert! Dieselben Räumlichkeiten dienen ab Mittags der Restauration, die dem Hotel angeschlossen ist. Das Hotel liegt günstig in der Nähe der historischen Altstadt von Klatovy. Dahin am besten zu Fuß, denn dort sind die Parkplätze kostenpflichtig und hier zudem gratis.

This is a lovely little hotel, staff were so friendly. It an almost unreconstructed communist spa hotel, a real delight and very simple.
