I figure everybody has a hotel close to home that they use for a romantic getaway, or is an easy recommendation for visiting friends and family. This is that hotel for me. The hotel was originally the town firehouse, which is evident by the large arched windows in the restaurant area of the hotel. The hotel is ideal for business visitors, as I have a lot of out of town visitors, most of my colleagues prefer to stay here because of the comfortable setting and rooms along with the over the top service and breakfast made to order (they are especially good at soft boiled eggs according to one colleague). There's Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. To the hotel also belongs a little restaurant with a fireplace serving international and Czech cuisine where also breakfast is served. There is no buffet but you can order anything you want - ranging from muesli to ham and eggs. The staff ist extremely friendly and obliging. As we were attending the "Colours of Ostrava" - Festival, it was perfect for us! On balance: a thorougly pleasant...

I would not necessarily choose to stay in Hlucin as the town is dead with no great sights or atmosphere, dead at night. The accommodation however does make a good base for travelling in North Moravia, close to Ostrava and easy distance to Opava, Roznov and Olomouc if you have a car.||Only down sides were the lack of air conditioning and occasional noises form outside, our room which was...
