Myself and two other friends have just got back from a 3 night stay at Hotel Aron, Prague. ||The main purpose of our short break, was to explore the city of Prague. Something that we wished to do on a budget. We booked the hotel via group on, and now feel that we could have maybe got a cheaper deal if we had done it ourselves - something which we will keep in mind for any future city breaks. ||Once we arrived in the Czech Republic, we got a transfer straight to the hotel (as it was quite late). We used the company prague-airport-transfers.cz to get us to the hotel. They were a very good company to use, quick, cheap and reliable. ||The hotel itself is quite traditional. Our room had ample space for the three of us. Twin beds (pushed together - so not ideal if you aren't close) and a put up bed. (I slept in this and found it perfectly comfortable). The room was fairly clean and beds were made each day. Towels were also changed daily if you wished. The shower was powerful and plenty warm enough. However, even in our room on the first floor, we had problems connecting to the wifi. (It was quite temperamental and sometimes worked...) ||Food wise, we had paid for breakfast to be included. There was juice, water and hot drinks, along with cereals, bread, yogurt, boiled eggs, frankfurter style sausages and a range of cold meats and ham. We always managed to find something to eat, so there were no issues there. There were quite a few tables and so we never experienced a problem with finding somewhere to sit. ||The hotel is a little bit outside the main area of Prague. We had the choice of travelling in via tram or bus, and the regularity of public transport meant that this was never an issue for us. Even when we did get a bit lost on the way back to the hotel, everyone we encountered was ridiculously friendly and willing to help us - which was lovely! We used the tram number 9 to get back at night, as they ran until midnight. ||Regarding tours, we would definitely recommend the sandemans tours. They leave from the old town square at 10, 10.45 and 2, and are "free" - in that you pay the guide however much you think that they deserve for the tour. Our guide Vivien was absolutely fantastic and knew a mine of information about Prague. We also decided to go on a further trip with the sandemans tours, to a nearby town - costing 600 kc (around 18 pounds) which involved all of our transport and entry into churches, museums and chapels. Again, something that is definitely recommended (Pavel was an excellent guide!) ||Overall, the hotel was "okay." It suited us perfectly because it was just a place to sleep at night. It was an alright price and it was quite nice to be outside of the main city, as we got to see a bit more of Prague through our travel on...
