Hotel Jurkos — Hotel in okres Příbram

Recently stayed here as this was our chosen accommodation for our time in Czech for the European championship In working equitation. |Stayed for 5 nights and well what can I say. We had 4 rooms for the group and everyone was great! Very clean, spacious where it needed to be, plenty storage, tv, sofa, side tables with sockets next to bed! |Table and chairs the works basically. |Bathrooms varied in sizes for each room but all big with large walking in showers. Again very clean. |Pressure of water in shower and heat was great. |Rooms also had AC if needed. Large Window opened fully opening out to look over the park/pond over the road with a view to the monetary up on the hill. |Zero complaints with the room. |Cleaners would come in daily while out and make the beds change towels etc. |felt very safe and comfortable leaving items in the room on show.||Restaurant and bar. |Bar had a good selection to suit anyone’s wants and coming from the uk very nicely priced! Czech in general is very cheap for someone coming from the uk. For example you would t be paying more than £1.50/£2 for a pint of one of there beautiful pilsner's. |Restaurants food was awesome! Never had a meal I didn’t like, every meal I had I cleaned the plate! |And again very cheaply priced. ||Staff all spoke great English and very friendly or helpful. They are a credit to the establishment. ||The competition we was there for was help about 30min outside of Pribham so didn’t do much in the town other than walk around the pond/park outside the hotel so I can not say much about the town. |Taxis we used to get to the venue was pretty much the same price everyday only varied by 10/15crowns and I believe that is just based on who taxi meters work over there as it seems it’s more time based pricing rather than mileage. Overall the stay was a pleasant experience, most of the time we were dealing with this lovely lady who was always smiling (she checked us in, she was usually working on an evening shift while we stayed). She was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. However the breakfast was quite a bit of a letdown, obviously we understand that if the hotel isn't that busy they do not do buffet style which absolutely makes sense. But the choices were very little to choose from and it was pretty much just eggs made in different ways and it wasn't very fulfilling either. From the sweet option it was only two things as well, not impressed. The days after there was a buffet style because the hotel filled up however even though it was served from 7am to 10am and we came for breakfast one day about 8.40am we were told that we are the last ones to come (they made sure to make this point a few times, it was making us uncomfortable and like we shouldn't even go there anymore really). So basically there was barely anything left to eat for two people. But they told us we could ask for more food if needed but it sounded more like "please don't" kind of thing. Next day we were told exactly the same thing, of course first thing we were told that we are the last ones to arrive and barely any food left. This beautiful hotel, perfectly situated between the train station and the city center, is a dream come true for any train traveler. For a surprisingly reasonable price, you get an impeccably clean room with a spacious shower (a huge plus!) and even your own balcony. The room comes equipped with slippers and a bathrobe, adding to the overall comfort. Although I have yet to discover the spa treatments, it’s already worth returning for this luxury alone. The secure parking behind closed doors is a reassuring bonus. And the icing on the cake is the excellent restaurant right next to the hotel, where you can enjoy a delightful dinner in the evening and a good breakfast in the morning.
