We booked this knowing it was a budget hotel with mixed reviews, just looking for a short break 3 nights all inclusive in a nice area to explore.||||Upon check in it was clear the hotel was ageing and needed considerable investment to bring it up to the standards of a 3 star hotel in the 21st century, some areas had been refurbished such as the restaurant service area and the wellness centre however the rest of the hotel looked like they had just repaired or repaired as needed from the 1970's untill today.||||Our room was basic but clean so nothing suprising, several aspects were aged including Thier choice of curtains that only half covered the windows, window frames are wooden and lose so not a place to stay in the winter, but with a lovely balcony overlooking the carpark, we could have had a view of the lake if we decided to pay extra in advance but the hotel was fully booked. ||||Separate shower and toilet, however the toilet is very low, in a kin to the level at a primary school. Not so great when. Your close to 6ft tall and having it practically crouch on the ground to go to the loo.||||Beds were rock hard, I almost though I would sleep on the concrete balcony one night as it may be more comfortable 🤣||||No available plug sockets in the room to charge your phone, we had to move the bed out or get it the only socket to charge our phone one at a time||||The walls are thin, so don't worry that you won't wake up for breakfast in time, you will hear your neighbors moving or talking quite clearly all day or night. ||||||||The hotel is stingy on complemtary cosmetics we had in the shower 2 indervidual bars of soap and 2 x (3 in 1 ) 10ml sachets of shampoo, condition and showergel on arrival and these didnt get replaced on the 3 days we were there.||||We had opted for a full board package which we quickly found out was a mistake, they were so used to Thier guests being elderly that portions were half of a normal adult size and the food was so bland, they hasn't though of using anything exotic like salt or pepper while preparing the very limmited menu.||||Breakfast was basic continental, some cheeses, chilled meats, eggs bread and cerial, the coffee was undrinkable even on machine coffee standards, juices were watered down more than you would usually expect. ||||Lunch you had two options and if you didn't like that there was no option to change, again small portions. Dinner was buffet style with 3/4 options but the hotel staff served the portions from the hotplate to stop people giving them selves I real portion I guess.||||Overall food quality was very low and without flavour would recommend eating out instead!!!||||||Staff were always friendly and profession ||, Reception could provide good tips for local area trips. ||||||We used the pool there every day is was perfect too cool down in, one piece of advice is not to state the pool is 28c when. It was clearly around 20c. It was nice for a swim and was hardly used by anyone else! ||||We had the electric go from the room on the first night, reception couldn't get an electrician in till the next day to get it fixed but was fine at 6am when. All the lights came back on.||||Overall we had a good time, we didn't have high expectations and they sure didn't do anything to change them, if your are looking for a budget option it will fit your needs, if you want to experience what hotels were like 50 years ago but with limmited WiFi your love this place.||||Advice to the hotel would be if you would like to attract more families than upgrade your décor and look at your menu / portion sizes...

Incredible renovation. Absolutely unbelievable change! The place went from a 2-3 star looking communist hotel to a 4-5 star hotel now. Plants in the rooms, brand new toilets, marble, new beautiful carpets, brand new solid furniture, great lights, it's just jaw dropping. I'm not paid to say this, I just have history with this place and have been coming here for over 6 years now. I'm attached to it sentimentally! I'm proud of these great changes the place made! Good job!
UPDATE 29/10/2022: All rooms have been upgraded with large TVs, vouchers and discount codes for drinks and services, brand new furniture and carpets, new curtains and new window blinds, walls and fine details have been repainted. New areas have been restored, and new areas are now functional (outdoor balcony seating, very beautiful). Outdoor new beer garden, very beautiful. And most important of all, the restaurant area is now modern, beautiful, with rich selection of buffet food. The hotel reached a 4 star rating in my opinion. Great organization of the staff. You'll love it!
OLD REVIEW (Probably from 2018): I start saying that this place is in a very nice location, your view is over an artificial lake (depending on your room though) and it's surrounded by a wonderful and colorful forest. It's a super silent and relaxed area, just next to the very famous and renown spa town of Luhačovice. The clever thing to do is to find a good place where to spend your stay and save up a bit rather than staying directly in Luhačovice where everything is more expensive. Adamantino is cheap, just your stay and a breakfast can add up to 20€ per night per person. That includes swimming pool, pool table, parking place, free wifi, I think access to tennis courts and maybe other commodities I still have to find out about.
If you wish to grab a bigger package that have massages, sauna and whirlpool jacuzzi they can cater all that.
The building has a very basic and spartan style. All rooms are furnished with very little. Furniture is old and so are the rest of the amenities. The bed is a bit uncomfortable but not so so bad, but don't expect a king size beautiful decorated bed, our room is a double room and has 2 beds put together. The TV is small and old. The windows were a bit dirty and the blinds are a bit damaged. They do not block the sun light in the morning so you'll be waking up much probably.
All rooms have moquettes, they are warm and have good wifi. Great balcony with view and the breakfast is good. The price is super low and there is a good value for the price.
I recommend it if you're someone on a budget and want to roam around and not stay for spa treatments in this hotel.
I do not recommend it if you're wishing a spa holiday rich of commodities and spa treatments and stay in your hotel for a prolonged time. At that point I recommend other hotels in Luhačovice.
I give it 3 stars because the overall furniture, doors, chairs, colors, amenities are very old. There is no real reason to keep it this way, upgrading would attract many more customers and make them feel more at home during the stay, keeping them coming the next year.
Ps: I heard that they are upgrading all rooms, our stay however was still in the old fashioned ones. If I come again and happen to notice a big difference I'll update my review and...
Read moreThis is a nice and reasonably priced hotel, conveniently located for access to the lake and a short taxi ride (or c.50 min walk) into Luhacovice centre. The free breakfast was great to have but we struggled to get anything to eat at the hotel in the evening. As English tourists with very limited Czech language we did find it a struggle to communicate at this hotel as it wasn’t really geared up for English speakers although the receptionist and bartender knew some English. It would have been good to have some printed information in English about the hotel in the room (e.g. breakfast times, spa information). ||The room was quite basic but comfortable enough and the balcony was nice with chairs and a view over the lake. The lack of air conditioning meant the room was very hot when we stayed in August. A fan would have been helpful and also a fridge. A safe in the room would have been good too, this is something I generally expect in hotel rooms. ||FYI to visitors, if staying at this hotel and wanting to walk to luhacovice there are paths either side of the dam (turn right out the back of the hotel along the lake path) which provide a handy short cut - google maps doesn’t seem to know about these. ||I would recommend this hotel for Czech speaking visitors in spring/autumn. Non-Czech speakers who don’t like sleeping in a sauna may prefer hotel Pohoda which has aircon and English speaking staff (and is closer...
