Hint of old times, paired with modern comforts Spectacular property, room design (albeit very small, even for European standards), excellent food, and wonderful staff. We were in the area for a funeral and with plans changing from one day to another, we regrettably needed to cancel a portion of the stay on a whim. They were able to refund the remainder of the cost and we walked away extremely happy, but sad that we couldn't experience more of their hospitality and great food. They have a beautiful, walkable garden, and a bike path goes right by the hotel, so you can go on a really long walk, or take a bike for a spin anytime. The property also features a stable, so you can see horses around all the time. They have a few historical exhibitions on view right in the church in the courtyard, which we didn't get to explore, but seemed very interesting. There's limited parking inside the property and some more spots outside the gate, but we didn't have a problem finding one in November, when we stayed there. There's a bus stop right in front of the gates, so if you're just going to Prague for a day trip, it might be the best way to get there. We'll definitely come back to this fairy tale anytime.

Everything was more than excellent. Friendly staff, very good breakfast with a large selection of various foods so that if you are there for several days, you will not get bored, as can happen in some other hotels when the breakfast gets boring after 2 mornings. The castle and the entire complex seem to have been recently renovated, so everything is still technically ok. The surroundings, the interior and the rooms are very clean and tidy. We stayed in the hotel during very cold weather, but it was very cozy and warm inside. We really did not find any particular complaints regarding the price-quality ratio. Recommendations for this hotel, especially if you come by car. Parking is also ok and Magdalena was be very helpful

A wonderful place in a historic castle - atmospheric, beautiful, with horses and a picturesque surrounding area, parks . But the real treasure of this hotel is the staff, especially Diana, Denis and Dmitry. Professional, friendly, and fluent in several languages, they create a truly warm and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent, even with fresh juice you may prepare yourself. Also they have some snack bar, which is included in the price of your room, amazing. Cozy rooms, delicious food, car parking. Definitely, a place you'd want to come back to! One thing should admit, that there is no AC in the rooms, so expect discomfort during hot summer days. Hopefully owner will take action on that.

Our stay at Pytloun Chateau Ctenice was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality by Yevhen and Denis, who made us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and warmth truly made our experience unforgettable.

The location of the chateau is like something out of a fairytale, surrounded by open fields and featuring a stunning garden within the castle grounds. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life close to Prague.

Our room was incredibly cozy and spotless, with a beautiful bathtub that added a touch of luxury to our stay. We loved unwinding there after a day of exploring.

Though we didn't have enough time to try the biking and horse riding available at the chateau, it's wonderful to know those options are there for our next visit.

The food was absolutely delicious. Dinner was a delight, and the breakfast spread was just what we needed to start our day right.

Overall, Pytloun Chateau Ctenice exceeded all our expectations. It's a place where charm, comfort, and top-notch service come together perfectly. We can't...

The high ratings are difficult to understand. Toilet stinked, room dirty and dusty. The heater was noisy (water flushed through it all night, even though it was off). The hygenic situation was pretty unacceptable in this room. The coffee mugs were obviously not properly cleaned. No tea bags on the room. No phone on the room to call the reception. There is nobody at the reception in the morning during check out. The breakfast is very underwhelming. The only people, who could help in the morning, are the ones from the kitchen, but they do not speak English. So you can not even complain directly to the staff in the morning. The location is odd, outside Prage, but with nothing attractive around. For this price i expected a quiet high level oasis outside the city, but was heavily dissappointed. It is overall probably the hotel with the worst value for money ratio i...
