The Granary — Hotel in Prague

We booked this with high expectations for a wonderful stay - the place itself is wonderfully quiet and beautiful looking - our room was small and comfortable. There were no tea-making facilities, and nowhere to comfortably put our bags in the room so it actually felt cramped. ||The tragedy came in the restaurant - very much looking forward to our evening meal and the breakfast we were sadly disappointed - the menu was short on vegetarian options and service was very slow. That was made up for by our charming waitress who realised our plight and did her best to make things bearable but the delays and the intransigence of the chef took the sparkle out of what was a much anticipated evening. ||Breakfast was so disappointing - we came down a good 30 mins before breakfast was to finish and many things were no longer available and when coffee was cleared away we had no option but to purchase coffee as an extra! This was so disappointing. ||I would love to return but for the price it currently falls very short. I so hope that the team will take these comments on board and...

I stayed here for a week on business, the hotel is beautiful, my room had a gorgeous free standing bath in the room itself, smart tv so you are able to sign into your streaming accounts etc and brilliant modern décor. The restaurant was brilliant with an array of choices at reasonable prices and of superb quality. The staff spoke English well and were attentive and helpful, the hotel is just a lovely place to be and the ambience is very relaxing, permeated by occasional church bells which weren’t intrusive and added to the feel of a relaxing and calm place to be. The transport links into Prague itself seem to be ok though I had a hire car so didn’t use. If you’re looking for a mix of relaxation and a good hotel to explore Prague then this is it, ideal for couples...

The hotel is very cozy and romantic. I especially liked the atypical windows and wooden ceiling. The bed was broad and comfortable and whole room was nicely warm. We had a dinner in local restaurant. I ordered chicken supreme, but it seemed to me under-cooked and what was worse there was not enough side dish. No need to say I have not finished my portion. Also breakfast was a bit clumsy because there was always something missing. The waiter simply was not able to keep up with the demand.
