Airport Hotel, Billund — Hotel in Billund Municipality

I want to give a balanced and fair review of this hotel. The location for the airport and Legoland is excellent, with convenient parking.

However, upon arrival and check in, when we went to our room it was not the room type we had ordered, having chosen a Family Comfort room as we were a party of 2 adults and 2 children. No mention was made of this, so we took all our luggage to the room and realised it was incorrect, so went back to reception. This is where the real problem started, the young gentleman on reception was one of the most rude and unhelpful members of staff I have ever met, getting quite irate with us and saying that he didn't have our room and what on Earth did we expect him to do about it, raising his voice and shrugging his shoulders. I requested a manager when the conversation was going nowhere, but I was informed that there was no manager available until the following day. This, as a side note, appeared to be a problem throughout our entire stay as other staff commented that no managers were ever on site and were not contactable either. Fortunately, a lovely member of staff, Melina, came over and relieved the first Gentleman. She is a real credit to the hotel, apologised (most importantly), but that the hotel was overbooked and that they simply did not have another room, but that she would get our first night refunded and we would have to just make do, but that she would sort it for the following day - which she did.

One additional point, there is no A/C in this hotel at all, it was very stuffy on a day of 21 degree heat, so I wouldn't want to be here in hot weather.

The breakfast is actually really rather good, but beware that the staff are allowed to use the guest buffet and they can only be described...

We have been here twice and we like it here very much. The hotel is not expensive, yet very comfortable, well maintained, well equipped and clean. You can check in using self-service or at the desk. The rooms are very good. There is lounge, a bar and a small restaurant with pretty good food. You can also easily order a pizza from the pizzeria nearby. Zleep offers a good organic breakfast buffet which you can add to your booking. The WiFi is fast! 😉 There are plenty of games in the lounge, free to use.

This hotel is perfectly located. In one hand it is right next to the airport. On the other hand there are frequently and free shuttles running around (Zleep, airport, Legoland, Lego House, Lalandia, some restaurants and back). You can hop on/off right in front (and back) of the hotel. Check the schedule at the reception desk.

If you are with a car, you can park your car in P1 of the airport parking. You can purchase a 24 hours parking ticket for 80DK from the reception which is for 24h ticket the cheapest option. If you park langer, you’ll pay the additional hours at the parking when you leave. You can of course also buy your parking ticket from parking itself for other options.

The hotel has some bikes to rent.

Last but not least: the service in Zleep Billund is just great! The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Booking at Zleep is definitely value...

This was my second one night stay in this hotel in the last couple months. I really like it there because their service is very good and reasonably priced. It is just few minute walk from the main airport building and around 1,5 km away from the LEGOLAND. It is very modern, nice looking and well equipped hotel. Check-in is done electronically just like in the flight check-in terminal at the airport. They accept all major credit and debit cards. Rooms are all very quiet, nice looking, clean, have big bathroom and flat screen TV. Dining room is huge and it is optically divided into several sections. Breakfast cost 10€ and must be ordered upon your arrival. They have very rich selection of the offered food and drinks. Dinner can be ordered at reception - you can select either from the Asian food, Italian pizza or other small snacks. Prices are very reasonable. Besides all sorts of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks they also offer great tasting organic coffee. Their Wi-Fi net is free to use – it is fast and stable. Right next to the reception you can also find small coffee bar and small but well equipped fitness centrum. People working here are very nice and friendly – they are helping to create atmosphere where all quests feel like being home. I would love to come back again in...
