One star or 0 star for the security experience going in, they’re very strict with liquid allowance and will make you repack in their clear pouch (zip lock bag) or have you check your bag in (or throw things out).

There was one Asian short-haired lady who went through every single bag and pouches including some of my empty travel-size containers and said it couldn’t all fit in the clear bag I had.

I wanted to try repacking my stuff to consolidate items but she wouldn’t allow me to touch the bag and told me to go back out if I wanted to try fitting things in, she then walked away with my bag and didn’t leave clear instructions on what I should do next.

At some point when she was checking all my stuff, she told me I couldn’t touch my other bags that were checked already and I was left very confused standing there with no help trying to figure out where to go next. I find her comment about leaving my stuff there very strange because I’d just leave my things unattended and risk losing them if I walked away.

Anyway, after waiting and asking around some more, I found out she took my clear bag and left it by the front area where we get the bins when we first walked in before getting scanned.

I collected my stuff since I couldn’t just leave them there and took a couple of tries to find ways to get back out with all the security guards looking at me like I was a weirdo trying to get back out. That was such an uncomfortable experience.

Once I got to the front, this other lady was just as mean and changed instructions to that I’d have to repack my things in a clear pouch she gave me or she would throw things out without letting me finish repacking my stuff :(

I started combining some cream/lotion items and the lady commented that I was too slow, already spending an hour standing there, which was not true.

I consolidated 2 things and that was more like 5-10 minutes max. She also said I would miss my flight if I didn’t throw things out (I was 3 hours early), I then asked her if I could go outside of the security zone to sort this out and again got a hard no with a very mean attitude…

After some awkward pause, she rudely said to me I could either throw things out or I can go out to pay 78-80 dollars to get my baggage checked and not waste any more time standing there.

Luckily I had free luggage check-ins with my flight (flying business for work) so I went and dropped that off. I don’t normally do that with my carry-on because they always come back broken… And of course, my suitcase came back broken this time as well :(

Pretty upset this whole situation was a mess and the airport security was such a terrible experience. Making traveling so much worse than it needs to be. What would I do with a small bottle of perfume or a half-empty travel-sized face lotion?

This overall experience sucked and they were both quite mean and rude, with this drama being so unnecessary. When I came back through security the second time, I picked the other line with a guy security and that went through fine with no issues. Much easier. So make sure to pick the side with less ladies to get a better experience.

Do remember to take your electronics out and keep any liquid, gel, cream or paste in a separate clear bag, and hopefully, you’ll have a better experience there too.

Tax refund is at the global currency exchange place (opposite from duty free) if you can find someone there, you can call on the desk phone if you need by the side. Getting krone/cash is probably easier if you want to just spend it on something else like snacks or LEGO vs getting USD/EUR with less money back from the conversion.

Business lounge is up on the stairs. Overall I didn't have a good time at this airport and I hope I never have to come back again. I travel a lot around the world and this is the first time being treated with so much disrespect and such an unpleasant experience. Super disappointed coming from a place I enjoyed...

Miserable experience is a nice way to describe the situation in that place. The flight has delayed for a few hours and i received the message just in time to don't drive to the airport. Because i live close to that place and having a six months old baby with me i said, ok, i will go to the airport according to the new flight time. But, surprise, the airport was closing the gates when supposed to because they can and they are very nice human beings. So having a trolley bag with me, was impossible to leave my luggage because they already done that. For what i don't know because the plane was not there. But if i was paying extra 600 kr, they was making some extra effort for me. Very nice. Ok, i was going in some place in the airport, trying to get out from the luggage any liquids because they said like this: we can take the luggage for extra 600 kr after we close the gate but don't need to have any liquids, creams etc... inside, luggage which go in the same place with others luggages which had inside liquids. Yeah, mind blowing. Ok, i was clearing my luggage and come back to pay 600 kr and they say,no, we don't accept your luggage anymore. Yeah, what the... was in my mind. So the logic of the people there is something like that: doesn't matter how many hours the flight has delayed, you need to stay like a idiot in the airport because they close the gate at scheduled flight time. Miserable experience with miserable people which have no logic and no little understanding of situation. I suppose to stay 10 hours in the airport with a 6 months old baby just because they close the gates waiting for what? The airline company told they will be there after several hours. So i lost the flight and the ticket money because i was not able to leave my luggage. They don't deserve 1 star, they deserve nothing. What a "nice" place full of...

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at the airport, primarily due to the lack of professional assistance with baggage and the inadequate options provided for travelers. To begin with, there was no help available with baggage handling. There was a lady who just couldn't answer the most simple question (like what to do with a stroller). This would be frustrating under any circumstances, but it was made even worse by the fact that there were no options to attach a travel tag to a baby stroller through the self-baggage check system. Since the airport has transitioned entirely to self-check-in, this left us in a difficult position.

Adding to the frustration, the waiting lines were excessively long, which is simply unacceptable. For an airport that serves thousands of travelers, the current system is grossly insufficient. There needs to be a better setup—either improve the self-baggage check options to accommodate special items like strollers or open up more counters where airport workers can assist with luggage. As it stands, there were only two workers available, and they were overwhelmed by the number of travelers, particularly those in business class.

Overall, the experience was stressful and frustrating. The airport must address these issues immediately to ensure a smoother and more...

High marks for having a Lego store right in the airport, but Billund is their birthplace so I guess they kind of have to. Low marks for too many stairs though. If you're hauling bags around, having to lug them up and down stairs just kind of sucks and there were a lot of places where we felt like we were waling up stairs just so we could walk down stairs on the other side. the airport was nice and reasonably comfortable but they were not great with sharing info when our flight was delayed two hours which is always extra annoying when you had to get up unreasonably early to meet your initial flight time. That may be on RyanAir but the airport wasn't terribly helpful though either.
