Hotel Slægtsgården — Hotel in Bornholms Regionskommune

We might be used to hotels of better standard, so this review should be interpreted from that point of view. We stayed for 4 nights for a family reunion. We were 14 of us and had 4 double rooms and two "triples" (extrabed/mattress). One of the triple rooms had a more or less fully equipped kitchen. There were shared kitchen facilities available for all rooms. The rooms were in need of refurbishment, but clean. The rooms towards the back garden were cold, my sister told us, but the rooms to the right of the back garden entrance had nice evening sun and might have been warmer. We stayed on the top floor and had no problems with the temperature. The garden was very pretty and a nice place to enjoy some coffee or tea with home baked cakes in the afternoon sun. Homebaked bread for breakfast was great, but the rest was average. ||The hotel is very well situated, close to the city center, shop and the harbour. Allinge is a nice place, a few km from Hammershus and Hammerknuden, a beach in Sandvig. The kids found a great football stadium where they spent time when we were around in Allinge. I had the pleasure of staying at slægtsgården for two nights during the easter holidays. The place is cozy and has a homestay touch to it. Breakfast is homemade by the owner every morning and her kind family helps run the place. There is many good restaurants located just nearby. We stayed at this place during winter time and it might not be the best time of year to visit Bornholm. Even if the place is renovated, it is still an old building. It was not very well insulated and therefor it was a bit cold in the rooms. Sounds was easily heard through the walls. That said, the location was very nice and quiet and the host was very friendly...
