If you want to choose this place - be aware of an important fact: This is not a hotel. It is the private place of a family who will graciously welcome you as a house guest - on the condition that you accept all the rules of the house! Most important rule: Do not try to pay your bill in the morning during the time when the breakfast is served. Do not bother the host if you get no toilet paper. Go and ask nicely if you get no towels. You will be treated as a naughty child if you do something to displease the host. Tread carefully! It's expensive - even for Denmark. We paid 1100 euros for two rooms for 4 nights. They had nice beds, wonderful view of the charming garden, lots of spiders and other little animals, a bedspread that stank to high heaven, a sofa that smelled so bad we had to carry it out. A charming breakfast served in the garden but ready composed on a plate so there were no choices of food. You have to eat what they give you. Which can be ok but contributes to the feeling of beeing there on a family visit. All in all a mixed experience - but the place probably survives on the charm of a beautiful garden and a good location in the main street of Gudhjem. I, personally, would...

Nice big room for the 3 of us. Small bathroom but it worked, we all got our showers. It is very old and charming surroundings at this hotel. Room 17 was comfortable and big. If I should mention one thing missing, it was coffee in the room. The water heater is there but no coffee or tea.|Parking your car can be an issue in the yard. A max of 6-7 cars in the yard depending on sizes and how intelligent parking is done.|Breakfast is very good. Not overwhelming in choices but none of us was missing anything. Everything taste really good and the hot food is.hot. The bacon is very very good. Relaxed, cozy and above all, friendly staff and just a nice experience. Andi and his staff makes you feel welcome in any way - the rooms are clean and very cozy - and very charming.
