I loved everything about this place! Details below: 1- The guy who owns and runs the place is super nice, he will give you all the tips about places to go, where to eat, how to negotiate prices, etc. He would wake up earlier to make us breakfast if we had a tour leaving early in the morning, he also take care of three dogs that are super nice and we'll behaved. 2 - The room was very nice. We arrived and it was very clean, no smells from wet towels or anything like that. The bed had a blanket and there was a good AC, the space was also perfect for two people. We had two night stands with drawers to use, a TV that we never turned on cause we had no time. The bathroom was also super clean, had a mirror, a nice toilet, shower curtains, towels and toilet paper. The shower itself was simple, with no hot water, but it was fine as it was. 3 - Location. It's not that close from town, but the good thing is you will find everything cheaper around there, there is a beach in a walk distance and also a good Restaurant, an ATM, an exchange house, a drugstore, basically everything you need. Most of the tours will be a full day tour with a shuttle picking you up and dropping you of at the location, so staying a little more far from the town actually has more pros than cons. 4- Accessibility. There are rooms in the first floor, and there is a good space for a wheelchair, but the bathroom might not have enough space, and it has a step to the shower. However, the owner is very kind and would probably provide any kind of accomodations he could for people with disability. 5- Safety. The place is 100% safe, coming from a big city in Brazil I was in disbelief of how safe it was and would be scared by any motorcycle sound. But turns out everyone around there is super nice, people will say good morning and hello to you even if you are a stranger passing on the street. The doors in the rooms have locks also. 6- Food. For breakfast you will have some tropical fruits, and the best pineapple you will ever eat. Also some eggs and a cheese sandwich. For drinking there is tea,...

The bed was comfortable, warm blanket was provided, AC fully functional, and it had a satellite tv with s decent size screen. The owner is a very pleasant man that speaks rudimentary but understandable English and is handy with Google translate app. Premises are monitored by a dozen or so CCTV cameras, so I felt safe there. It was also very quiet there at night.|Now for the not so good part. There's no hot water at the property. I mean it wasn't even meant to have it as there's only cold water faucet in the shower. It makes it tough to wash off sunscreen from your body after a day at the beach. The water, however, is not cold, in fact, it is warmer than the ocean on a nearby beach. So, if swim in the ocean you shouldn't have any problems taking a shower at the hotel.|Fried plantains and bologna for breakfast are missing a key ingredient - eggs. The coffee, however, was good.|All in all, I highly recommend this place if you're in...
Read moreIf you want to experience the real Dominican Republic then stay here.
We have been traveling for 6 months and Jorge was one of the most hospitable, kind and genuine hosts we have ever met.
We stayed here for 5 nights and arrived late at night where we found him waiting for us and helped us with our bags to our room. Jorge helped us buy a sim card, book expeditions and even gave me some money as the cash machine that was close was not working.
Breakfast is simple but delicious, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff always wore a smile. There is a lovely garden space area to relax in day and night where you see the lovely locals walking by and experience the real aura of this beautiful place.
The place is located approximately 15 walk from one of the only public beaches in punta Cana and it is beautiful. There is also a very nice restaurant ( captain sully) that is a 2 minute walk.
Thank you once again Jorge and all hostal staff for making our stay perfect and welcoming us into...
