After an issue at PUJ, I was in need of a quick hotel for a night's sleep, and found this through AA.com. It was priced right, less than 5 miles from the airport, and had a great rating on that website. I am SO HAPPY I picked this hotel! |First, I arrived after dark. It is in a very lively part of the local area, with many local stores and restaurants as well as American chain restaurants nearby, as well. It's not a quiet area in the evenings and that can be great for the right guest! There is a lot going on!||Checking in, Bill was very quick and kind. He walked to my room and gave me the rundown for the on-site pool and restaurant. ||When I say this room was clean.. I mean IMMACULATE. The tile and grout looked like it had been done just days (I asked! It's 3 years old! The grout still looks brand new!) |In my room was a breakfast bar, apartment fridge ( again. SPOTLESS!) and even a 4 burner gas range. It's not large, but it's perfect for one person. ||The hustle and bustle from the street seemed to calm down by 11 pm. I enjoyed hearing the traffic, to be honest. I'm a city girl. ||In the morning, I went down to the lobby to ask about transportation back to the airport, and the owner was in the front office, chatting with his employees at the front desk. He happened to be dropping his daughter off at PUJ around the same time I needed to be there, and offered to give me a ride as well! I could not believe his kindness and my luck! ||As I was in the car with them, I learned his daughter and her husband lived in the same area as me! What a small world!||I honestly cannot say enough about the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall vibe of this little hidden gem in PUJ. If you are more of a traveler and not looking to just be stuck on a massive resort, but want to really experience the Punta Cana area, and be around some great people, I strongly suggest you check this place out! I know I will absolutely come back for a longer visit there as...
Read moreThe facilities were clean, nice, and cozy. It is located by the street so you can’t really avoid the noise but it’s close the the airport and there are lots of shops nearby. You are provided with your basic necessities and the hotel room is set up like a nice studio apartment with a kitchen which includes dishes. This is a perfect place if you want a place to rest while exploring DR. The breakfast included option was great. You have the option of having the traditional Dominican breakfast or an American breakfast at the restaurant located within the hotel which also sells really delicious sushi. The hotel manager Vladimir was so nice, helpful, and resourceful. He treated my husband and I like we were his own family. We weren’t able to get a car rental and he helped us find one for a decent price. When we didn’t have a car he was kind enough to drive us to the beach and anywhere we needed to go. We didn’t really know much about the area and what to explore and he helped us get the connections to different excursions and activities. Halfway into our trip we realized that we wanted to stay at a resort instead and he was super helpful with that too. He helped us get a stay at a really nice resort and genuinely cared for us as people. Even after we left the hotel he would call and message us to check in on us to see how we were doing. We went to DR not knowing anyone and we left feeling like we had...
Read moreI recently travelled to the DR on business and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Costa Love in Punta Cana, and I can’t recommend this hidden gem enough! Nestled in the charming residential area of Altagarcia, this quaint hotel offers an experience that feels truly special. From the moment I arrived, the outstanding personalized customer service from owner Bladimir and his assistant manager, Bill, set the tone for our stay. Every staff member, including Jaime, the morning wait staff at the lovely open-air, poolside restaurant, made you feel like family. They serve up a delicious breakfasts each morning and amazing sushi for dinner, making dining an absolute delight.
What really stood out was the staff’s willingness to go above and beyond. They helped secure transportation for a stunning excursion to Saona Island, an hour away, recommended phenomenal, local beaches (maybe a 15 minute ride away), and even washed a few items of clothing. It’s the warm and gracious manner in which they did all this that made the experience so memorable.
And as you'd expect, the rooms are kept clean and tidy, the beds are comfy and mine was equipped with a kitchenette and more than ample refrigerator/freezer.
After a week at Hotel Costa Love, I can definitely say, “We Love, Costa Love!” If you’re looking for a personalized, family-like atmosphere with exceptional service, this is the...
