I stayed at the Palococo for one night. Basically the Hotel is on the entrance of Las Terrenas. I stayed at room 11. The room was clean and everything on the room worked as expected (hot water, A/C, ceiling fan and the small tv). ||If you are a light sleeper bring your ear plugs because the hotel is on the main street of Las Terrenas and you hear the noise of the motocycles and also the roosters crowing start early on the morning.||The breakfast is inclusive and it was good. Restaurant staff was in between, the lady that took care of us was new hire and was kind of lost regarding to the breakfast choices. Reception staff was ok. Parking can be an issue, as there are not too many parking place.||Hotel is not close to the beach, however for a small amount of money you can take a "motoconcho" that takes you where the beaches are.||In general my experience was ok. I got what I paid for (was not expecting too much for a US$50 on Las Terrenas) and in this case Palococo was a very good experience for a night. I definitely would stay again...

When we tried to access the wifi the receptionist (hotel manager) was not to be found, he left and stayed as he pleased, when he turned up he gave us the wrong wifi code and was to proud to correct himself, it was only because one, one nice employee overheard the conversation and came over and corrected him.||In the morning we went to get the included breakfast, which the employees didn't seem to know anything about, after some time we convince them that there is an included breakfast. They apparently had a menu card showing what was included all along (hustling comes to mind). When they serve us they say that my two friends an I should share the equivalent of two scrambled egg. I get a hold of the menu card and explain what their own menu card says in detail before they give in a serve all of us the food we have paid for the night before....||Wouldn't expect that from a expensive...
Read moreWe wanted somewhere to crash for the night and we found this hotel at Las Terrenas town. It is a very clean hotel and the rooms have been updated; for instance it has a flat TV, new bathroom accessories. It didn't have AC, only a ceiling fan, but this was my room choice, as I didn't want to spend too much. Keep in mind that this hotel is not located at beach front, it's located near the town entrance (about 10 miles from the beach).||The breakfast was pleasantly good and was included in the room price.||The outside corridors had lots of trees and were well maintained and the pool looked good, but I didn't use it.||I'm summary, the overall experience was great value for the price.||Pros.||Clean rooms|Affordable price|Good food|Well maintained exteriors with good landscaping||Cons||Not...
