Groovy Garden — Restaurant in Las Terrenas

I love this place! The owners are awesome. The staff provides amazing customer service. The menu selection and food quality is exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect!

I'm into the details and it's obvious that the owner and manager are as well. If you appreciate decor design, you will constantly discover and appreciate the creative style throughout "the garden". MOST IMPORTANT IS THE STANDARD OF CLEANLINESS throughout the place. Just take the time to look at the cooking area that's in plain view. I'm a 20 year military guy and it reminded me of what you would expect in any military dinning facility. SPOTLESS. After 5 episodes of stomach illness from both, basic local and popular restaurants within a year, I'm truly thankful for this safe dining option. The owner and overall staff are very personable and nice to talk with and they also offer some of form of evening entertainment 2-3 days a week if not more. I look forward to attending their Latin music nights. It's also has probably the best kid's play area in town.

I was a little hesitant to write a review for selfish reasons. This place is somewhat a hidden gem that when found you want to keep to yourself. But I also believe that the staff, atmosphere and overall vibe will attract people that appreciate and complement the place. I also like the owner and staff and definitely want to contribute to their success by sharing the BEST cafe/nightlife/dining/kid friendly groovy experience in town. VERY VERY GOOD!!! Came here for dinner as it was close to our room, at the top end of town, for my wife's birthday. As a chef myself I usually struggle going out to eat, but yesterday we ordered a classic burger and a bacon cheese burger, and they were very good, the meat was certainly fresh and well prepared, it had some sort of caramelized onion which made the whole meal great, and the bill with a frozen lemonade and a beer came to ONLY 1300 pesos! Worth Evey penny. We only spent an hour here as I was unwell, but we will certainly be back with more people in the near future. Groovy Garden is an outdoor restaurant just a bit outside of the downtown area of Las Terrenas. We went for drinks one night and , impressed by the quality of the drinks( outstanding margarita and pina colada with no artificial flavours ) we decided to try their food. We had dorado in a coconut curry sauce, skirt steak with frites, and a salad. All were outstanding. The service was very attentive with the owner coming by to explain the food and preparation.
