HOTEL NOVALUX (Alojamiento, hospedaje, descanso) — Hotel in Ambato

Paid 298$ for one night for a triple bedroom during the "fiestas de ambatos". The room had no fridge, the water pressure was lame, the room had no chair or table so i had to flip the trash can and eat on the floor. During the night i had family visiting and i wanted them to wait in the room while i shower and get ready. The staff of the hotel got all agressive and they told us if any guest go to our bedroom (even to check the room out) we would have to pay 53$/person. Very rude and for the price the room was lame, the only nice thing in the bedroom was the bed. I do not recommend this hotel. Also the breakfast is lame. You can get better for 2$...

Caro, pésima atención, no te brindan la atención adecuada, te cobran como si estuvieras en Sherathon y te atiende como si hubieses contratado un hostel, cuando hicimos la reserva nos dieron una tarifa, e hicimos un abono, al hacer el check out, resulta que la tarifa era otra, fue mi error no haber revisado bien la información que me enviaban al e-mail, pero debo decir que no es la primera vez que esto me sucede en Ambato, los hoteles brindan información por teléfono y luego al llegar al hospedaje te cambian los términos solo por que son las fiestas, el Hotel Novalux no es un hotel de lujo, es un hotel que a lo mucho llegará a 3 estrellas pero abusan de las tarifas en estas fiestas y por lo que veo no tienen ningún control por parte del municipio o ministerio de Turismo, dejando una pésima experiencia en el turismo; cuando hicimos el reclamo la Señorita de recepción se justificó diciendo que la tarifa que yo le reclamaba si la daban pero a las personas que llegaban al hotel sin reserva...????? Entonces me pregunto, de que te sirve hacer una reserva con anterioridad si luego te van a cambiar los precios y encima te salen con tamaña respuesta!!!, en referencia a las habitaciones, no son incómodas, pero con el tarifa que nos pusieron básico por lo menos te ponen papel higiénico y lavan las alfombras, estas daban asco no podias poner ni un segundo los pies sobre ella, el desayuno que te brindan es básico; llevamos visitando Ambato varios años por estas fechas y siempre nos pasa lo mismo con los hoteles, que pena por que auyentan al turista, nunca mas hotel Novalux, nunca mas hotel Napoleón..... Y asi podría nombrar algún otro; aceptar mi error de seguir utilizando los servicios hoteleros en Ambato y para las próximas fechas buscar otras opciones que no abusen del...

I loved the location. The service was very good and attentive. The room was enormous for Ecuador. However, my room needed repairs: the bathroom needed to be repainted because of water stains on the ceiling. The shower head was damaged and leaked. The hotel's Wi-Fi need to be modernized, a new Ubiquiti networks mesh system would solve connection problems in high demand. Considering the price for Ecuador, I expected more quality in appearance.
