Klever, his wife and Joel are your hosts at 'La Casa de Joel'. They are very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about what you can visit on the island. Klever can arrange tours for you. Their hospedaje is close to the center, yet also close to the less touristy stores and restaurants.||||The room we stayed in was very spacious and we had our own bathroom. 'La Casa de Joel' provided free drinking water for us. La Casa de Joel is very loving. The host family, is very friendly, helpful and always approachable. They picked me up from the harbor, washed my clothes spontaneously, informed about good travel agencies, ordered a taxi and after 2 nights my room was completely cleaned, including new bed linen and towels. The room is nice with private bathroom, the family kitchen can be used, right next door is the well equipped supermarket, and drinking water is available at any time. For me as a solo traveler a perfect and cheap accommodation, which met all my wishes. A lot of people meet here unfortunately not, as there are only two guest rooms, but totally okay. As well it is very near to the beach, restaurant and island sightseeings....

Joel is a really nice and helpful host that happily lends his snorkeling equipment and shares his kitchen with the guests. The room is small but clean with working AC and a warm shower. It is very cheap and in the middle of the town.

The big downside is the location directly next to a Karaoke Bar where people loudly sing until 2:30am. Even with the windows closed and earplugs I could hear them sing half the night, which is bad if you have to get up at 4:45am to get to the ferry... the bathroom door also only locks from the outside and keeps creeping open if you don't lock it, which makes for an unwanted very intimate toilet...
