I really liked the 4 days I have spent in Ayampe guest house. The staff is amazing and provide you all the support to enjoy your time, being very welcoming and friendly - Sol and Daniel were amazing with me and my friends. The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are well equipped and have good showers. A simple - but delicious - breakfast is included in the fee. The property is right in front of the sea, and it has a swimming pool, a bar and sports area. Guests can rent surfboards and have surf class with staff. The place is very silent at night and safe, being just 2 minutes walk from Ayampe city center. Prices are fair and services are good.
I will certainly return to Ayampe Guest House and I highly recommend you reading this review to stay with them in case you are in Ayampe. From the options I have researched in the area, it was one of the...
Read morePamela had us cancel our booking through booking.com to offer us a better deal, but we paid $490 for 4 nights. She charged us the local Ecuadorian taxes that are meant to be paid by Ecuadorians or visitors who had entered the country 60 plus days ago, which wasn’t the case. Pamela took advantage of us. The place is really nice, the breakfast was good prepared by the great Mariela. The beach needs maintenance as it’s full of tree trunks and debris. They have water both hot and cold to drink which is nice. They have a pool table, but the pool sticks are worn and bent. The tours they offer are more expensive than in puerto López. Don’t buy them there. The boards they rent are at the highest price in Ayampe $10 an hour. Next door are $7. and they don’t even have wax on them or to offer. We had a better time in Salinas and Olon/Montañita....
Read moreAbsolutely loved our stay at Ayampe Guest House. It has an absolutely perfect location on the beach but South (two blocks) of town in a quiet low-traffic area. The service was outstanding. Pamela met us with a friendly greeting and Brian did a great job mixing a variety of tropical drinks and the beach/pool bar. Pamela was also available to help with any needs or recommendations throughout our stay. Breakfast was included with the room and the kitchen staff prepared a simple but tasty breakfast each day. ||The rooms are good-sized and very clean with good mattresses and comfortable linens. We looked at a few other hotels and guest houses while in Ayampe and did not see any place better. A little pricier than other options but worth it...
