Hotel Boutique Mitad del Mundo — Hotel in San Antonio

We had such a great experience staying here. Easily the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to South America. Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at during all our travels all over the world. The customer service offered by the employees was amazing. You won't find better. The employees are so nice and go out of their way to help you out. The rooms are spacious and clean with the best hotel bathrooms we've ever seen. They also provide lots of different toiletries in the room.

We unfortunately had limited time in Ecuador due to flight delays on the way there. Staying here allowed us to see mitad del Mundo outside of business hours. We otherwise would not have been able to see it. This was a great way for us to see it because while the businesses in the village were closed, we got to the monument and go up to the top of it with zero crowds. It was amazing.

The security is top notch for this hotel. They are always in sight and keeping you safe. We felt very secure, even while wandering around after dark.

The breakfast is AMAZING. Cannot recommend that enough. So much delicious food and all fresh.

Because we got there after business hours the ladies working the desk helped us order food from a local restaurant, they even called in the order for us as we don't speak spanish. They also set up the dining area for us and provided water, cutlery, etc. they also scored us a great buy one get one deal. They also helped to facilitate the transaction with the delivery driver. The customer service is seriously unmatched.

We had a very modern and clean suite with views onto the monument. The hotel is in the middle of the Mitad del Mundo park and gives you free access and complimentary guide, as well as out of hours access to the park for photos. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, cold meats and ham as well as a cooked option. The hotel is on an excellent location for a stop over before flying back from Quito. This would also work as a good base as an alternative to the slightly higher altitude of Quito city and is also closer to the Mindo cloud forest. Just one point to note, the blinds and curtains are controlled by Alexa, so it would have been helpful to have written instructions in the room. We managed eventually with help...

I'm from the United States, and I stayed here in March of 2025. It's a nice hotel inside a park that was the spot of the French expedition that declared the equator. When they invented GPS, it was not the exact location but very close. The hotel is very nice. It included breakfast. They gave me a free tour of the park. The internet was good. I was able to connect my Netflix to the TV. Since the hotel is located inside this park, there is a lot of security. When booking this hotel it is best to have whatsapp on your phone. The hotel sends you a link to pay before you arrive. They send a link through WhatsApp (servicios.datafast.com.ec) The park is a 45-minute Uber trip from the old part of Quito.
