During my recent stay at Magic Beach Hotel, I encountered a disappointing aspect that significantly impacted my overall experience: the manager's (bold hair) relentless pursuit of tips. While it is customary to appreciate excellent service with gratuity, the manager's persistent focus on soliciting tips overshadowed the otherwise satisfactory aspects of the hotel. From the moment I interacted with the manager, I noticed a subtle yet constant emphasis on monetary gratification. It seemed as though every interaction was an opportunity for the manager to remind guests of the expected tip. Whether it was providing information, offering assistance, or even just engaging in casual conversation, their primary objective appeared to be angling for additional compensation. While I understand that gratuities can be an important part of income for hospitality professionals, the manager's approach was off-putting and unprofessional. Instead of focusing on providing exceptional service and creating a pleasant atmosphere, their priority seemed to be solely on monetary gain. This behavior created a sense of discomfort and left me questioning the authenticity of their service. Furthermore, this emphasis on tips had a negative impact on the overall guest experience. It created an atmosphere of transactional interactions, where it felt like genuine hospitality took a backseat to financial expectations. It's disheartening when a manager's focus on gratuity overshadows the opportunity for sincere and meaningful connections with guests. In addition to the persistent solicitation of tips, I also observed instances where the manager's behavior became less accommodating when gratuities were not given, where he asked me to get him a gift for his daughter’s birthday before we leaver the hotel. It was disconcerting to witness the change in their demeanor, as they appeared less interested in ensuring guest satisfaction and more focused on the potential financial gain. While it is understandable for service professionals to appreciate tips for their efforts, it is crucial that the focus remains on delivering outstanding service rather than relentlessly seeking monetary rewards. A manager should exemplify professionalism, courtesy, and genuine care for guests' needs, creating an environment where gratuities are a byproduct of exceptional service, not an explicit demand. Considering the behavior of the manager at Magic Beach Hotel, I hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. While some aspects of the hotel may meet expectations, the manager's relentless pursuit of tips detracted from the overall experience. I encourage the management to address this issue, providing appropriate training and guidance to ensure that the focus remains on exceptional service rather than financial gain. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was tainted by the manager's constant emphasis on soliciting tips. Guests should feel valued for their patronage and receive sincere hospitality, rather than feeling like a potential source of additional income. Choose a hotel where guest satisfaction is the primary focus, ensuring a more enjoyable and...

Read moreThis was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had — not just in Egypt, but anywhere. I traveled with my mother and a young child (my nephew), and what happened during our stay was beyond unacceptable.
From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff — especially the animation team — constantly crossed personal boundaries. They repeatedly touched the child without our permission, tried to carry him without even asking, and treated our discomfort with complete disregard. It was invasive, inappropriate, and deeply concerning.
The most terrifying incident happened when I woke up on the beach and saw a strange German woman taking my nephew. I had to physically intervene and take him back. It felt like a kidnapping attempt. I immediately reported the incident to hotel management, expecting concern and support. Instead, they laughed at me. They were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They did not take the situation seriously at all.
Even worse, the staff — including the management— responded with racist comments because I am Egyptian. They treated me with blatant disrespect simply because I wasn’t a foreign tourist handing them euros. It was clear that they only care about foreign guests for their money, not the safety or dignity of their own people.
The animation team didn’t just overstep boundaries with the child — they also began telling us their personal financial problems, clearly fishing for money and making us feel incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like a scam. No sense of professionalism, no boundaries.
To make things even worse, I overheard the management talking in Arabic about how he didn’t care about guest complaints. That says everything about how this hotel operates — complete disregard for guests’ safety, feedback, and dignity.
This hotel is not just terrible — it is dangerous. We did not feel safe for a single second. I genuinely fear for the safety of other families, especially those with children. I am planning to report this to the police and to the relevant embassy, because what happened to us is not just bad service — it’s a serious safety concern.
Do not stay here. Ever. If you are a foreigner not Egyptian take care they just want your...
