Beautiful Beach, But Not the Most Tourist-Friendly especially for non Muslim women We visited this public beach for the first time, curious to explore and get a feel for the local experience. The price was 100 Egyptian pounds each totaling to 200 pounds. The scenery was beautiful however no tourists in sight. The staff were kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. However, I did experience a number of uncomfortable stares throughout our visit. I wore a two-piece swimsuit with a full cover-up, but it still drew quite a bit of unwanted attention. It became clear why this beach isn’t frequented by tourists, especially women or Americans. While I understand cultural differences, the experience left me feeling more scrutinized than relaxed. It was relatively clean and not busy - it's mid October which is almost winter for locals. Cafe near the end of walk away area was closed for the season and there are still few coffee shops and stores near the entrance. There are showers and toilets.
