Food-highlight of the trip! Best food out of all the all inclusives I've ever been to. Huge variation and simply delicious! My only concern is for people with allergies or dietary restrictions since loads of things are unlabelled- there were several times I ate something and was surprised with peanuts (lovely for me, not so much for someone else). If you have an allergy speak to the chefs!
A la carte restaurants- you are allowed 2 visits per week, easy to book though QR code. Lebanese: excellent! If you only have one a a la carte go to the Lebanese one! We were given dips, breads, salad and a heap of meat! Italian: quite disappointing, it was just like the normal buffet but smaller. Pizza was good and staff was great as always French: top tier service. Four courses and choice for main. Seafood: incredible!!! Awesome food and the staff were beyond kind and even gave us an extra plate of fruits!
Beach- so pretty and there's loads of different sections that make it feel exclusive. The sea is clear and clean and you can go to the pier to do some swimming and if you bring your own goggles you can even see the fish and coral reef!
Pool- very large and active, normally playing music and next to the bar. There are loads of sun loungers but i'd recommend getting up early to put your towel on it as it gets taken up quickly
Entertainment- animation team is awesome! Everyday there's aqua gym in the main pool but there's other activities like yoga, volleyball etc. We also saw a foam party and jetski presentation and there's shows every evening in the theatre. The animation team is incredible (especially the man who leads aqua gym and Anna)
Gym- quite good. There's a good number of weight and cardio machines as well as free weights. I easily adapted my home routine to to here and the personal trainer was always eager to help. (Beware- it gets very hot so be ready to sweat and bring water)
Staff- BEST STAFF!! Can't stress this enough and wish I could name everyone but the staff goes above and beyond for everyone. Special mention to Ahmad for always being kind and friendly and giving the best towel sculptures!! Also to the waiter whose name I didn't catch but always spoke a bit of our native language to us- he's always SOO friendly! Also to the personal trainer at the gym for helping everyone with equipments and form- as someone who has been going to the gym for a good few months he's helped me a lot!
Transfer to Naama Bay- does the job. FixPrice is great and right by the drop off station but the vendors can be annoying and persistent- learn to ignore them. The shops only open at 12-1 so the strip will be closed if you decide to go. We went 3 times and always had the same driver but he was quite unkind. He's got a deal with one of the vendors and he'll lure you into his shop as if it was part of the transfer. The driver was annoyed when we didn't follow him on our second trip and left us in the heat of the van for 5 minutes while he spoke to the shop owner. Also, when he dropped us off at the airport, the driver purposely went to the wrong terminal so we had to walk. Very unpleasant!
Beware- there's a lot of vendors for trips, spas, experiences etc. they can get tiring but if you are polite and straightforward they will leave you (although they are great if you are interested in their services). Food poisoning! They give you 2 bottles of water in your room- use it to brush your teeth!! I didn't believe it and paid the price! Heat- VERY hot and very high UV. I love tanning but even for me the UV 12 was too much sometimes. No non alcoholic beer Consider extension cords- theres no plugs near the bed Shops inside the hotel- practical BUT you could get the free transfer at 10am-12am and get everything from FIXprice!
Overall- excellent hotel and even better staff. Would...
Read moreWe recently stayed at this hotel during our annual family vacation, and while there were some positive aspects to our stay, there were also a few disappointments that unfortunately affected our overall experience.||To start with the positives: the hotel itself is visually stunning. The architecture and design are impressive, and the overall ambiance initially gave us high expectations for what was to come. Upon arrival, quite late in the night, we were checked in without any hassle. The night staff were efficient, and we appreciated the smooth process after a long day of travel.||However, our initial impression of the room was disappointing. When we were shown to our accommodations, it became immediately clear that the standard of cleanliness did not align with the hotel’s advertised five-star status. The toilets were in an unacceptable condition, and the general upkeep of the room felt subpar. At this level of hotel, attention to detail is crucial, especially in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. Needless to say, this was not the welcome we were hoping for, and it left us feeling frustrated and let down.||Thankfully, the situation was quickly addressed thanks to the exceptional efforts of the guest relations team. We raised our concerns immediately, and within a very short time, Valeria from guest relations stepped in to take control of the situation. Her professionalism, empathy, and efficiency were outstanding. She ensured the issues were resolved promptly and made us feel truly heard and cared for. If it weren’t for Valeria, I honestly believe we would have checked out and found alternative accommodation. Her intervention not only salvaged our stay but turned what could have been a very negative experience into something much more bearable. She is a credit to the hotel and clearly understands the true meaning of hospitality.|That said, not all of the staff demonstrated the same level of service. ||During the daytime, we found some of the reception staff to be quite abrupt and, at times, dismissive. While we understand that different cultures may have different communication styles, working in international hospitality requires a certain level of cultural sensitivity and professionalism. ||Unfortunately, a few of the male staff members displayed an attitude that felt cold and unwelcoming and bordering on rude at times. This kind of behavior can be very off putting, especially for guests who have traveled from far away and expect to be greeted with warmth and courtesy, particularly at a five-star resort.||Overall, while the hotel has qualities that could make it an exceptional destination such as its beautiful design and a few standout team members like Valeria, there are clear areas that need urgent improvement. Cleanliness should never be an issue at a luxury hotel, and all staff should be trained to deliver a consistent, respectful, and guest-focused experience.||If management invests in proper training and reinforces the importance of first impressions, there’s no doubt this hotel could truly live up to its five-star potential. For now, I would rate our stay somewhere between 2 and 3 stars saved from being much lower thanks entirely to the efforts of...
Read moreI feel disappointed that I am leaving the following review. Initially booking this particular hotel I did a lot of research prior to making the final booking. Read reviews, searched social media to see what reviews came up and yes there did seem to be the odd few that were disappointed but this appeared to be outweighed by the positive ones. I now wonder if some of the more positive ones are bogus. The hotel is advertised as a 5☆ it's definitely not. The rooms are tired and definitely in need of updating, especially the bathrooms, shower is awful and powerless. I will include photos of what our 5☆ bathroom looked like. Limted plug sockets and only work sometimes. The fridge in the room struggles to stay cold which is a worry when having to keep insulin in it. Although the rooms are supposedly cleaned every day I feel the it's a surface clean as the headboard is thick with dust and I won't comment on the bathroom. We paid extra to have a sea view and don't get me wrong the view is beautiful, the grounds are very well maintained. But little did we know that for two evenings a week there is a beach disco(chargeable) until gone midnight. It is very loud so sitting on the balcony listening to the sea and taking in the peacefulness is a no chance. Even sitting in your room the music is deafening. Difficult when thrying to get our 3 year old to sleep. There seems to be a lot of hidden extras that you need to pay for, including the water park on site. Drinks are very limited and little choice which is soft drinks, 1 lager, Rum, gin or vodka only, everything else is chargeable. There seems to be only one pool in our part of the hotel which is very loud, I don't mind music round the pool but this is another level. Whilst relaxing round the pool there seems to be a constant flow of staff trying to sell you things, this is often expected but its constant even after politely declining a few times, you'd think they get the hint. It's worth walking over to the other hotels on site to try out thier pools. The Internet is advertised as being available across the hotel including your rooms, this is very sporadic as it struggles to connect and becomes even worse in the evening. After speaking to another family they explained this was their second visit to Sharm and last year they stayed in the 5☆hotel Cleopatra which apparently is amazing and lives up to the rating. Staff all seem to work very hard, there are a lot of life guards and strictly on the ball, which is great. The entertainment and pool staff all work long hours and vvery cheerful but reception staff, where they are meant to be the hotels best examples of staff are very rude and could do with renewing their customer service training. The food is not the best and tends to be repetitive. I will say their puddings/sweet treats are very nice. We were fortunate to be able to book some of the restaurants, you are limited to 2 per week if you can get in. We did Japanese, Lebanese and French, the food, service and atmosphere was great and definitely made a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of the food hall. One thing is guaranteed is...
