After a week's stay:

  1. Rooms are clean, neat, thoroughly cleaned and well-kept. Public corridors and the surroundings of the buildings are also well-kept and wet-cleaned regularly, up to twice a day. The room service is polite, tactful and unobtrusive. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves are not inside they arouse my admiration. One thing is definitely great - the mattresses and beds are perfect :) But the entire exterior of the hotel is amazing. The swimming pool and the rest of the resort are staffed illuminated palm trees, which is charming after dark. Despite the lack of a beach, the beach part is also tastefully decorated.
  2. Let's move on to the location: The location is ok. That's all I can say. We were with a couple with children and it turned out that the hotel did not have a beach, apart from a patch of sand. So after our first day on the cliffs, we had to move to the pool area. We discovered late by accident that there is a kindergarten for children with a mini swimming pool in the center where you can leave your children under supervision for almost the whole day!!! This helps a lot. In terms of attractions around, getting to Naama Bay or attractions in the center of Sharm is quite long and costs from $20 round-trip. (This is the best we managed to negotiate, but there were also offers twice as high)
  3. Service.... Let me start by saying that compared to our previous visits to Egypt before 2011, the culture and behavior of the Egyptians as a whole nation have fallen terribly!!! It's unpleasant in many places. Even the tourist police, which were created to protect tourists, have become arrogant and insolent. They allow themselves to keep entire busloads of tourists at checkpoints for no reason. When asked why they do this, you might hear: If you don't like it, you can don't come here. I must add to this the widespread fraud and scams that also involve sellers of tours and attractions hanging around hotels. Semi-finished products are sold with a lot of hooks and hidden surcharges, giving a false picture of the attractions. Against this background, the Grand Rotana hotel crew looks like the G Team!!! These people are fantastic. I have practically never caught anyone being rude, giving mean looks or having a bad attitude towards their work or towards us - clients!!! What's more, whenever one of our capricious little girls cried, someone was there to entertain them! And guess what? It worked!!! These little capricious "hitches" :) instantly turned into laughing wonders!!! Interestingly, almost every waiter passing by was able to take care of the children! Miracles, however, were performed by Hasnaa's woman, who greeted people with effusive love at the buffet before meals. At first I thought that something was wrong with this lady, but later I realized what a fantastic role she plays, giving a lot of her warmth both to small children who are treated coldly in the EU by their parents, and to adults themselves, many of whom I saw needed her warmth. Kisses from Zosia Hasnaa I have to mention the remaining people because it would be a sin not to mention: Ayman, the manager of the main buffet, a very helpful man. Bahaa manager of the Silk Road restaurant where if you like quite spicy food, you must eat Asian dishes. If you don't tolerate spicy food, don't worry. Bahaa will create something especially for you. We adults and our two princesses - we went without dessert because there was no place to fit it! Entertainment is a bar where the fantastic Anwar serves. Smart, thoughtful and able to talk about any topic. This gentleman is definitely not an ordinary drink pourer! And also the easterners: Don't worry about them in this hotel. There is collusion in Rus or the price of the hotel makes their elites come here. They don't snatch food from each other, they don't scream and, most importantly, when they get drunk they don't fall over and hit each other like we heard from people from other hotels. To sum up, if you want to spend your holiday in a good atmosphere, the staff of this hotel is ready. And the...

Myself and my Mum travelled to Sharm el Sheik for the first time, choosing Grand Rotana for our stay. We felt we chose well as the entrance is very grand and stands out when looking at all the other hotels when we were getting our transfer.||Upon arrival at around 8.45pm we were advised to go grab something to eat before dinner service ended, whilst they arranged our check in, this was very welcomed. ||We were given a complementary upgrade as we had paid extra for a panoramic pool/beach view room, the room we were provided was a beach view and very close walking distance to the pool. We were happy with the twin room. Comfortable beds, clean and fairly spacious. Beautiful balcony looking out to the beach, which we really enjoyed. ||Sunbeds, we always managed to get one. Being on the beach front it was windy, parasols could be heavier duty/sturdier as blew over a few times. People would reserve sun beds by adding a bag/towel at 7.30am, and return 3pm. There was still lots of beds and staff would go and get more beds if needed. Pool is refreshing! Kept well and lifeguards are constantly on hand to help.||Animation team were all lovely.||Al a carte restaurants were beautiful! We ate at the italian and the seafood restaurant on the beach. We loved this! The food was very nice and both in gorgeous settings. ||Room service food delicious!||We ate daily in the silkroad, as they had closed the restaurant and was using it as additional buffet. It was much quieter place to eat dinner which suited us, again staff attentive and cant do enough for you in there. ||We found the buffet was a bit chaotic, there was always something to eat, and everyday there was different meats/fish on the bbq, lots of vegetable dishes too. You can see the staff really working so hard to get guests drinks, whilst also trying to clear and make up tables constantly. The lady at the front isn't actually doing anything, lunch times there would be a queue for lunch 10 minutes after opening.||We did use the skybar one evening, great entertainment, violin player/dj, great atmosphere. ||All of the staff were so kind, and friendly, we had lovely housekeeping staff. My mum was unwell one of the days and he checked in and asked if we would like him to call the dr. (Rakeem) ||The beach is stunning and the corals and marine life is amazing!||Absolutely loved the hotel and if it wasnt for how bad Sharm el Sheik airport was going home, i would have 100% came back! ||If you can stomach the airport departure, I would recommend this hotel. ||Thank you for looking after us...

An Unforgettable Stay at Grand Rotana – A True 5-Star Experience

We just returned from a one-week all-inclusive stay at Grand Rotana Sharm El-Sheikh, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable vacations we’ve ever had.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Moustafa and Amir at the front desk delivered one of the smoothest and warmest check-in experiences we’ve had at any resort. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor immediately set the tone for what would be an exceptional stay.

The housekeeping Mohamed Elsayed and his supervisor Saeed were another highlight — from day one, they remembered our preferences and tailored everything to make us feel right at home. It’s those thoughtful touches that truly elevate a guest experience.

Now let’s talk about the food – absolutely incredible! You simply won’t be able to stop yourself from going back for more. Every meal was a delight, with rich variety, flavor, and freshness. What really impressed us was seeing the Executive Chef, personally present next to the buffet every day, ensuring quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction. That level of care is rare and speaks volumes about the resort’s commitment to excellence.

One beautiful example of this: our kids were craving fried chicken fingers, which weren’t available on the buffet that day. Chef Anwar noticed, and minutes later, a freshly prepared plate of chicken fingers was served right to our table. That moment alone earned our deepest appreciation — it showed how much the staff go above and beyond.

The swimming pool is one of the largest we’ve seen — clean, spacious, and perfect for both relaxation and fun. We especially loved the separate pool with jacuzzi, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea and the mountains. It felt like a private paradise.

Throughout the week, every staff member we interacted with was helpful, smiling, and truly committed to making our stay unforgettable. Whether it was in the restaurants, the recreation areas, or the housekeeping team, you could feel that everyone genuinely cared.

To sum up: Grand Rotana is a resort that delivers luxury with heart. If you’re looking for a hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh where service is personalized, food is exceptional, and every detail is taken care of — this is the place to be. We left with beautiful memories and are already planning...

From the moment we stepped into this incredible hotel, we were greeted with warm smiles a room problem rectified immediately with friendly professionals This place is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a fantastic getaway! **Housekeeping Magic**: Every day brought delightful surprises in the form of towel animals that our housekeeping team Ahmed and supervisor saied crafted with such care. We visted Grand Rotana March 21st /28th. This being our first holiday to Sharm el Sheikh you have made a lasting impression to the both of us. The reception when we arrived in the late evening was helpful, being driven to our room on block 2. The room was so spacious, our Sea view was just breath taking. The grounds of the Rotana are a credit to all the staff, everything is so clean, lovely presented. Our two Al le carte meals, in The Dukes bar and Palms bar wers fantastic, the food was superb drink were just what we needed. The service on both restaurants was fantastic, the staff were kind, happy and made you feel so welcome. In the Morning the staff serving breakfast were superb Farres the waiter was fantastic, kind and always made sure we felt welcome The food for breakfast was varied. The Dinner and Evening settings we were greeted by Abdul (Drinks Manager) and Yasser who always looked after us both, nothing was to much trouble. The food was fantastic, the drinks were varied. Then the sky bar of an evening what a credit to the Rotana, all from the lovely man behind the bar who worked so hard but always had smile on his face to the kind waiters.. The beach bar staff were happy, polite. Our first visit to The Rotana was outstanding from food and drink to staff. Can't forget to mention the palm trees, the Hotel is just glorious.

Grand Rotana is not bad, but not a 5-star hotel. Advantages: - View is amazing, we had the chance to stay in a newly renovated deluxe room, which had an awesome view. - room is big and modern (building 6) - pool area is good, there is one heated small pool but with amazing sea view. -beach area is big Disadvantages: - hygiene is TERRIBLE! unfortunately, having this big resort with awful hygiene is a huge turn off for us. The breakfast in the main restaurant was an unpleasant experience. Open buffet isn’t clean, food is all around the platters, even on the floor. Serving platters are not clean. Smelly mugs. No food variety. Terrible coffee. Terrible juices. The only good plate was the alexandrian foul. Nevertheless, main room hallways were dirty (pics attached) with old dusty equipment thrown there. -hotel location is very far from everything and not accessible to public road. -main pool was extremely cold, only the small pool is heated. -staff is too loud especially the housekeeping team, they woke us up everyday only talking and shouting in the hallway in front of our room. -Despite the “renovated” room, chair was broken, bathtub was cracked, towels and bed sheets weren’t new and worn out. Overall, I dont think we will be revisiting the hotel again.
