We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Centric San Salvador, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations.
The hotel itself was immaculate. Our room was spotless, thanks to Edgardo Flores, whose attention to detail in keeping everything pristine truly stood out. It made such a difference in our comfort throughout the stay.
The service was top-notch. Vanessa, our main server, took care of us with warmth and professionalism. I also want to thank Michelle, El platero, and Estefani for regularly checking in on us and making us feel so welcomed and appreciated.
The food was phenomenal. The culinary team, Nicholas and the other talented chefs, went above and beyond to make every meal memorable. The unlimited breakfast was a daily highlight, and Nicholas made us feel so comfortable throughout our stay. His pupusas were honestly the best I’ve ever had—I’m obsessed!
The hotel’s location is another huge plus. It’s conveniently connected to a mall that offers a variety of shops, local vendors, and a supermarket—perfect for grabbing essentials like water or snacks. Even better, it’s within a 45-minute to an hour drive from all the key attractions you'd want to explore in and around San Salvador.
On our final day, the staff checked in to make sure everything had gone smoothly—and we had no complaints. Our stay was absolutely perfect.
Be sure to enjoy the beautiful pool, the vibrant salsa night (which was packed and so much fun!), and the well-equipped gym. The entire Hyatt Centric San Salvador team made this one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!
Thank you again to everyone who made our stay...
Read moreI’m so happy that we stayed here. We even extended our stay bc of how great the hotel was.
Service: I can’t say enough great things about the amazing people that work and run this hotel. From the second we stepped foot in it was soo welcoming and accommodating. Carlos at the front desk when we arrived was so welcoming and understanding when we asked if we could check in a bit early bc we had been traveling with kids all night. The bell guys was incredibly kind and gave us a great tour of the hotel and recommendations. Everyone at the coffee shop and restaurant were also so friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are so clean and spacious with beautiful views. The bathrooms are huge! The beds super comfortable. They had a welcome dessert for us that was delicious. The pool area is nice with a great view. Pool is on the small side but good enough for a quick dip.
Food: We got coffee from the coffee shop in the lobby everyday and it was great. They also make fresh pupusas for you right there. The kids loved to watch the process of making them and cooking them. It’s an experience in itself. The restaurant on site is good as well a bit over priced but good.
Location: It is perfectly located in the city center of ES. There are 3 beautiful malls near by with lots of shopping options and food options. I was able to get a pedi and mani at a salon in the mall attached to the hotel. The mall across the street “La gran via” has amazing restaurants. Surf city, el tunco and all the beach’s in “La libertad” are about a 45 min drive. Totally worth the visit for the day. Historic district was about 30 min. Great location with quick access to everything.

Read moreWe came to El Salvador for a vacation and chose to stay at the Hyatt Centric.
This hotel has everything that you need, great location and amenities, friendliest staff, amazing food and all the views. We stayed for 3 nights in a Standard 2 Queen Room and then returned back from the country side a day earlier to spend another 2 nights as we loved everything here so much, we got upgraded to a Two Queen Suite based on our Globalist Status and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
All the rooms are equipped with a Keurig, a Dry Bar hair dryer and an electric kettle, we had to heat some food and asked where the microwave was located, but they sent someone with a microwave to our room to heat it up ourselves.
The bar downstairs and the poolside is open till midnight and they make killer Espresso Martinis with fresh espresso shots off the coffee cafe they have. We had food on our last night in the hotel lobby and it was nothing short of great, we ordered room service but asked them to serve us in the lobby and it was as smooth as it could be.
Gabriel was always around to help us, he had great recommendations for places to visit, always had a smile when we walked in or out of the hotel and asked us about our experiences in the country. We also happened to speak to Jaime, the manager from the kitchen, the staff from the breakfast buffet remembered us every morning and knew exactly what we would want.
Overall, it was definitely one of the best Hyatt stays we’ve ever had in terms of the property, location, amenities, staff, food and...
