This is a small waterfront hotel a few minutes by bus out of La Libertad. We took a rideshare from San Salvador but could have saved the money and taken the 102 bus which drops you off about 100m from the hotel.||||Going back to San Salvador cost $0.59 and took no more than 5 minutes more than the rideshare getting out. The 102 bus 'stop' is on the main road if you go straight down the dirt road opposite the hotel it is on the left hand corner. ||||The coast is known for surfing which looked really good while I was there. But the beach is mostly rocks and the sand is that almost black volcanic sand which is not that much fun for sitting on.||||We found:||- the AC to work well||- the pool to be great||- the view from the 'viewing platform' over the water to be excellent||- the location is reasonably well serviced by small roadside cafe type places. However you will have to walk for 5 minutes in any direction.||||We also found:||- the hotel to be quite dilapidated. One pool had been empty for some time although the big pool was great.||- the room to be small and old||- the bathroom to be quite old with a one tap shower with barely any water coming out||- when the sun goes down most cafe and small shops close quickly... which in winter can be quite early... so don't...

The price here is great for the area based on what you receive. Beautiful sitting areas, included wonderful breakfast, swimming pool, amazing staff, and great menu if you choose to eat there. The beach there is perfect for summing at low tide, clear water, no trash on the beach, and we saw people surfing every morning. The staff really took care of us even taking us out to get pupusas one night! Hopefully we can come back again. As a side note, the place is both kid (we had a 2 year old and 5 year old) and pet friendly. And had...
