Noli Malmi — Hotel in Helsinki sub-region

Update: 11/11/2025 Unfortunately, after my previous review and all the promises of improvement, the same issue has happened again — another bicycle theft from the same parking area.

This is beyond disappointing. Despite repeated reports and the management’s previous response claiming that “everything was checked and functioning properly,” it is now clear that the core security issue remains unresolved.

Residents deserve real action — not just polite replies. Security cameras, proper gate access control, and monitoring are basic expectations for a property of this standard.

It’s frustrating and unacceptable that thefts continue to occur in a place that promotes itself as a secure and modern living environment. Until Noli implements tangible safety measures, I can only warn others to be extremely cautious about using the parking hall.

9/2025: I am extremely disappointed with Noli Studios not for quality for their rooms , it is perfect but for a critical thing like Safety . My Friends bicycle has been stolen twice from the parking hall. Despite repeatedly informing the management about serious security issues with the parking hall gate and the broken protective structure, nothing has been done.

Instead of addressing the problem, the only advice they were given was to file a police report – which does nothing to increase residents’ safety. It is unacceptable that such a well-known company ignores basic security and allows residents’ property to be stolen so easily.

I recommended Noli for everyone always before but now NEVER. I’ve completely lost trust in their ability to provide a safe living environment. If you value security and peace of mind, I cannot recommend...

I traveled to Helsinki solo from May 12th-19th 2025 and this hotel exceeded all my expectations and then some. First off, there was an issue during check-in where I missed some information that was necessary. No problem, a call later everything was sorted and I was walking into my room!

On the topic of checking in, they allowed me to check in a local friend. That made it so much easier to hang out and spend time together whenever we didn't want to be out and about.

My room was a small studio with a single bathroom and a good amount of amenities - dishwasher, oven, stove, sink, fridge and freezer as well as cabinets, cutlery, and cooking utensils. This allowed me to cook the meals I wanted at the hotel.

Noli Malmi in particular is located right next to the Malmi/Malm train station, which, if you have an AB zone day ticket, will take you right to the very centre of Helsinki in barely 15-20 minutes. Plus, you have a plethora of bus lines stopping at a walking distance just above the train station. There are some trails and wooded areas around, great for jogging or a morning stroll.

All in all, a great all-round hotel that will satisfy all your lodging needs and go way...

We were connecting onto a flight the next day and choose this hotel as a cheaper alternative to the airport hotels, which were very expensive (Hilton, Scandic). The access from the airport is very easy and quick, the train takes about 20 minutes, leaves every 10-15 minutes and at a cost of 6.40 EUR return (zones BC) it is both very easy and convenient. On arrival you have to use a tablet to check in which is tedious and long winded. Hotel has a restaurant which we did not use during our stay but there is also a pizzeria just across the road and shopping centre with a large supermarket less than 5 minutes walk. We stayed in a medium sized apartment which was nice and big, great size for one night stay, oven/microwave, induction hob, fridge/freezer, dish washer, so everything one needs even for a longer stay. On each floor there is a service station with hair dryer, iron... and other amenities. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything you need, including a washing machine.
