Hostel Villa Kemi — Hotel in Kemi-Tornio sub-region

The flat we booked was very overpriced, especially in off-season. The flat is built in a basement-garage, with tiny up-windows and musty air quality. Room was quite dirty, there were socks and other items left on the floor from the previous user. A lot of dust was rolling on the floor, the cupboards and walls had many stains on them, and some handles were sticky. Although washed, one of the bedsheet still had stains on them, and pillows were low quality. The flat was also located right next to a dusty construction site, which would have been nice to know in advance since we quite couldn’t keep the windows open in daytime because of the dust and noise. Not coming again and I wish we would have spent our night elsewhere. Someone with nonchalant lifestyle might not care about these things, but still the price should reflect the standards...

Unfortunately the code received went to trash and our 18 and 19 year old were outside unable to get in. Pre booked and paid, receipts on phone. Minus 20 phoned the given number for hep and refused entry, because they couldn’t give code number.it was midnight after they arrived and the taxi left them outside. The hostel's security issues are bad. The fire alarms were disconnected from the fire detector throughout my vacation (several days). The green emergency exit lights do not light up on any floor. There is water damage on the ceiling of the room near the bed, because the surface material of the ceiling is soon dripping onto the bed. The ceiling panel on the lowest floor also has traces of water damage. I didn't smell mold.
