The location is convenient for the centre and the train station. The receptionist was friendly. I enjoyed the authentic 60s fixtures, fittings and decor (see photos). The hotel should make more of this - become a 60's theme hotel or something!||||Overpriced as this is a very basic style of accommodation. The WIFi was poor to non-existent which was a real pain for me. I expect too many people were on the network as the password was the same as the network name so anyone could join it. The hotel is NOT suitable for anyone with limited mobility as there is no lift. I was woken up both nights c. 3am by the snow ploughs plowing the road outside - the hotel is on a main road and this is something to bear in mind if you are a light sleeper! I could also hear (too) clearly the people in the neighbouring rooms. No shampoo or hair dryer provided (only hand soap was provided). These would have been a very nice bonus! There was a hole in the wall of my room (217) by the window (see photo). Things like this show that the hotel is sadly in poor shape, though it is clean. I will not stay here again because overall it was a pretty grim experience! (both the hotel an Kouvola!) And I need good WiFi like I...
Read moreI stayed in a two person room since there were no single rooms left so it cost me the price of two people.
The staff was informative and kind. The room was clean. But the bathroom was inside the room and it was super tiny. The shower head would not stay still on the wall so you had to always hold it. Super tight space too, so shower curtain is contantly near you. The room didn't have any towels which I thought was a basic necessity in hotel rooms. You could also hear pretty easily through the walls.
Its understandable for its price that its not that great. Okay place to stay to sleep but not much more.
My second stay in the hotel:
This time I stayed in a single person room. The towels were provided in the room this time and the room looked nicer. The shower which I could use for this room was provided in the hallway and it was shared. The shower was spacious and there were some free shampoos and conditioners to use...
Read morereally old building. for that price they could invest a little bit every year in professional repairs ond new fornitures. right and fair price should be around 20-25 euros/person/night.no wardrobe... all over bad fixings on walls /winfows. feels like since build nothing has been invested. beds provocate back hurting. all in all it was clean. breakfast good. ham, cheese, salami from cheap supermarket. but fresh fruits, joghurt and a lot lot more. orange juice has tasten like 6 parts water and half part juice. if you take rooms dont take 202/3/4/5 they are right over pub 23 wich has loud live bands from 21.30 to 23.00 in the weekend. so loud (thin walls and isolation)you hardly hear tv... the service is...
