Way in advance I tried to cancel my booking. Trip.com said yes but this hotel refused. So they are keeping my money even though they know that I won’t stay there, nice?
Now, the hotel blaims trip.com when it's themself that refuses the cancellation. They CAN cancel but they don't WANT to.

This hotel is by far the best hotel i have stayed in Finland, and i tried many hotels all around Finland from Helsinki to the north.
The service from the girls at the reception was exceptional, always smiling and friendly, they genuinely take initiative to help you
There is always someone available on the floor you are staying in, and i mean ALWAYS, which was amazing!
I always found Finland hotels having shortage of staff, either at the reception or floor and room service, but not this one!
Everywhere u turn there is a friendly face whos eager to help.
The breakfast was amazing and you cant ask for a better location.
This will definitely be to go to hotel in Mikkeli, and wherever i can find them.

Read moreWe had a pet room (2 cats). It is nice that sokos hotels remember the pets with a goodie bag but a shame it's always only dogstuff. The room was great, clean, good bed, the big tv with chrome cast was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the complimentary hot drinks (water boiler and hot chocolate powder etc.that was found in the room). Mini fridge was great for own drinks. The only thing we have to complain about in the room is that we heard the cars and trains noises loudly. A jacuzzi in the saunadepartment was also a nice surprise. The breafast was ok, a lot of stuff but the thing that I was looking forward to the most was scrambled eggs and that was awful..did not remind you of eggs..the other warm food was also a disappointment!
