We stayed 1 night as my husband visited his son. We have been in the hotel before a few years ago. The location is perfect and large free parking. We mainly chose this hotel as there are not many hotels in the center of Salo and we knew that Rikala has an excellent restaurant. We have done day trips to Salo and eaten in the restaurant before. It did not disappoint us this time either, food was excellent and service was friendly and good. Breakfast was also very good with several choices of food and not only bread. I dropped one star because of the room. We chose a Superior xTwin room with Sauna. I asked for a quiet room and we got one at the end of corridor. But we could still hear voices from other rooms throug the ventilation channel. Room was also smaller than expected and a bit too dark. As the hotel does not have aircon and you could not open the window their in the room was a bit stuffy. There was evening sun throughout the window so I had to close the heavy dark curtain to keep heat out. There was a fan so you could get the air moving in the room, but it did not cool much. Sauna looked nice, but we did not use it as we were afraid it heats the room even more. Large minibar and water kettle for coffee. Water kettle was difficult to use as the kettle is fixed to the cord. Bed was comfortable. For short trips the room was ok but for a longer trip it would have been too small...

not a lot of choice for hotels in this area, but that doesn't matter as this hotel is very good. its situated just off the main shopping area. it is also by the local river. there is a supermarket and burger restaurant nearby, also several restaurants in the town centre too. the hotels own restaurant has just undergone a facelift and looks great. the food was also good too. breakfast was good, with a Scandinavian flavour.||||rooms were clean, but i just never understood the "wet room" idea! you have a nice shower with a glass screen around it, but every time you take a shower the whole of the bathroom is swimming in water. so if you forget and leave anything on the floor it gets soaked, even the bath mat! it would not put me off staying again, but a sign might be nice.||reception was great, very friendly staff. check-in and out was...

I stayed here 2 nights and hosted a meeting at this hotel. The facilities were top notch the food was delicious and the staff was as good as, and better than most of the hotels that I have been in.

The facilities were clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. It was a very restful visit.

The restaurant's food was delicious and well presented (I ate there several times during my stay.) The staff was professional, courteous, and caring. They appeared to enjoy their job.

The meeting room was up-to-date, comfortable and easy to use.

The hotel staff were attentive and caring. All of my interactions were positive, from the planning and the reserving to the time of departure.

I highly recommend this hotel, whether you need a rest day or you need to host a...

The smallest hotel room ever! I am seasoned traveller but the standard room we were given was stamp size and hot even in August when outside temperature was+15. The table fan was in deed needed. No cupboard for clothes and the shower spilled water all over since the floor tilted away from well. Rooms were though tidy and recently refurbished. The staff was really friendly and parking free. Breakfast equals the general standard of the hotel. To be honest if the centre of Salo would have another hotel I would think twice before booking a room here.

Nice location in the middle of the city. Excellent service. Room was quite small, but renovated and enough for one night stay.
