GreenStar Hotel Vaasa — Hotel in Vaasa sub-region

I really wanted to like this hotel with its good location, reasonable price but above all that the use of the laundry room is included in the price. But unfortunately we got off to a bad start when our first room was so poorly cleaned that there was poo in and on (!) the toilet. The receptionist was horrified and offered us a new room straight away which was clean - except for the window which was fascinatingly dirty. It was very hot in the room so we were worried that it would be a hot night but the ventilation in the room was good. The room was a bit too small for the three of us where there is no surface to put down bags and clothes but everything has to lie on the floor in the small spaces between the beds and walls. The worst thing, however, were the pillows which were terrible. I woke up after only an hour with a stiff neck and my partner also complained about a stiff neck in the morning. You have to make the sofa bed yourself, which we knew, and the bedding is in a box under one of the beds. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as it is not included in the price. Parking in the garage is available...

Varattiin kaksi huonetta. Toinen oli 3 henkilölle, toinen kahdelle. Koira oli mukana. Koiralle oli kupit, herkut ja pyyhe. Oli siis kivasti huomioitu koira. Varauksen yhteydessä hotelli mainostaa 3 henkilön huonetta antaen kuvan kolmesta sängystä. Huoneet on kuitenkin perinteisiä kahden hengen huoneita joissa lisävuode nojatuolissa. Lisä vuode oli pedattu, mutta petauspatjaa ei oltu laitettu. Sohva oli hyvin epämiellyttävä nukkua, kova ja raot tuntuvia. Pyynnöstä tuotiin toinen patja joka ei petauspatja ollut, mutta onneksi pehmeä. Huone oli puhdas ja siisti. Kokolattiamaton puhtaana pysyvyys mietityttää erityisesti kun koiria on vieraina paljon. Kokolattiamatto oli myös ruokailu puolella. Sängyt, peitot ja tyynyt olivat pehmeitä ja puhtaita. Huone oli pieni, ei laskutilaa taikka kaappia. Seinällä oli naulakko, joka ei kuitenkaan riittänyt meille. Toisessa huoneessa oli sivuverhot ikkunalla ja tunnelma enempi kuin hotellilta odottaa. Toinen meidän huoneista oli kolkko, ilman sivuverhoja, yksi lapsistani sanoikin huoneen olevan kuin sairaala. Huone oli vielä ensimmäisessä kerroksessa isolla ikkunalla joten pimennys rullaverhoa oli pidettävä kiinni, jotta kaikki ei näy ulos. Äänieristys oli täysin olematon joten yöllä mopot ja autot piti hereillä. Jos haluat nukkua rauhassa, varmista huone ylhäältä ja sisäpihalta, ehkä ei kuulu äänet niin voimakkaasti.

Aamupalalle menin ennen ruuhkaa kun muu perhe vielä nukkui. Puolet pöydistä oli täynnä, 1/4 likaisia ja täynnä astioita. Näitä ei putsattu ellei asiakas käynyt pyytämässä. Itse siivosin oman pöytäni koska en enää jaksanut aamupalan kerjäämisen jälkeen pyytää siivoustakin. Jouduin koko ajan pyytämään tuotteita keittiöstä kun milloin oli loppu kahvi, jugurtti, leipä, voi, leikkeet...... Tuotteet mitä oli oli laadukkaita ja tuoreita. Aamupala ei ollut mitenkään jätti suuri, mutta valikoimaa oli kuitenkin varmasti kaikille. Kun ruuhka kello 9.00 alkoi oli paikka kaaoksessa ja jos aikaisemmin oli puutteita tarjoilussa oli sitä silloin jo ihan kohtuuttomasti. Oma lapsi jonotti 20 minuuttia todetakseen, että oli tyhjät tarjoilut. Oli siis aina tuuri mitä sai eikä ollut kohtuullista jäädä odottamaan täyttöä kun aamupala jono oli pitkä. Minä ja moni muu näytti menevän omaan huoneeseen syömään, tunnelmaa ei nostanut että useassa pöydässä oltiin erittäin tyytymättömiä aamupalaan. Hotelli ei ole edullisimmasta päästä joten täytyy sanoa ettei rahoille...

All in all the hotel is ok ,the Best part about it is the people working there as they are verry friendly and helpfull.

The worst thing however and the reason for only 3 * is the breakfast, as it is horrible the scrabbled eggs are made out of powder ,the sausages are the cheepest You can buy in a market and the same goes for the rest of rhe food.

They write butter on one of the speds but it dose not taste like butter ,maby a cheep butter mix or margarine.

The Room i stayed in cant open the Windows to let fresh air in and the single bed is realy small even for 1 person.But it is comfortable so...
