Gasthaus Pooki — Hotel in Vakka-Suomi sub-region

This is more like a restaurant with rooms and not vice-versa (as most hotels). Reception is in the restaurant (look for any waiter). Service is friendly. Rooms are spacious and have a view to a somewhat busy street, but the noise level is low during the night. As there is no a/c and there is lots of sunshine to my room, it was almost impossible for me to get decent sleep. Very hot and humid! There is no buffet breakfast but a breakfast tray instead. Considered one of the fine dining restaurants in Nystad (Uusikaupunki), the Gasthaus Pooki features a full menu with good beer and fine wine in a lovely interior. During spring and summer, the outdoor garden is lovely with a bar where you can conveniently order your favorite beverage.
