A brilliant campsite. This campsite is split into two parts. We stayed in the second part. This had access to the public beach and was a short walk to the private beach. The facilities were always clean although there could be a queue for the showers at peak times. We cycled to the other side where there was no queue. The campsite had a lovely feel about it as it was full of campers with only a few static vans and other accommodation. The reception were very helpful and answered all our questions. They spoke variety of languages fluently which really helped. The route to our pitch was round a couple of tight bends which was tricky to navigate and we did need to unhook and push it the last part. I think we were unlucky as looking at the rest of the site we could have managed it all without too much of a problem. The campsite is direct access to an amazing lake. Lots to do in the area and in our short stay we managed to go paragliding, visit Talloires and the diving board, visit saint-jorioz Plage for a 3m and 5m diving board and visit Annecy itself. Plus plenty of swimming and paddle boarding. Such a great time and we will be returning.

This campsite is in a fabulous location. It’s at the far end of Lake Annecy at Doussard and is right on the lake front. It gives fabulous views of the mountains and we could have watched the many many paragliders all day The facilities at the site seem plentiful and were always clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked great for little ones For those who use a bike as their transport there is a cycle lane almost all the way around Lake Annecy and certainly all the way from the site to the town of Annecy. The one down side of this site is how tight for space it is. If you have a long Motorhome manoeuvres are awkward and the service point is almost impossible - it is surrounded by three low walls so you have to reverse in and ours wouldn’t fit in it to a point where the outflow would pour into the waste water point. All roads on site are also tight but once you get over that it’s lovely

First of July. Crowded. Helpful front desk. Four days before we checked in we called for openings and lucky us, close to the water. Arrived and the desk people spoke English well and helped us find our spot. Super spot with hedges to our back and a slight view to the sea. Crowded first week of July. Beach full. Bring your own umbrella. Bathrooms, camping washrooms clean and restrooms clean. Great pool design for all ages, yet missing outdoor showers. Water was turned off. Restaurant was delicious. Large portions and verity of cheese and meats on boards. Well prepared Caesar salad but….chicken nuggets in a Caesar salad ? No sorry. A nice slice of chicken breast would have been 5 star. But chicken nuggets…..3 star. But wine great. Reasonable price and friendly staff. Bring an umbrella for the beach. There is not distinctive line between front row campers and beaches. Trees are scarce.

We stayed here 1 night last year and enjoyed it so much that we returned this summer for 3 nights.

The campsite is divided into 2 sections that are separated by a small public beach access road. Last year we were in the 'overflow' section which still has good access to the public beach and exactly the same pitch sizes and facilities. This year we were in the main section closer to the campsite's private beach and the pool, which we did enjoy more.

For us, the true highlights of this campsite are the pool (with lazy river and waterslides), the location right on the lake at the most beautiful point (Doussard), and the outstanding cleanliness of the facilities. Pitches are a decent size, even if there isn't much space between the pitches, so who your neighbours are would matter. For the most part, campers are families with children and many are regulars year after year. Our kids had a great time in the pool, at the multi sports pitch, and swimming in the lake - we didn't use the kids club. And one of our favourite rituals was being at the lake for early mornings and sunsets, just enjoying the totally stunning views.

I highly recommend renting bikes from K2 in Doussard nearby and making use of the traffic free bike path that runs all along the west side of the lake up to Annecy itself. I can also recommend visiting the paragliding launch up in Col de la Forclaz, and taking a little bit longer of a drive to Col des Aravis for stunning views of Mont Blanc. There is so so much to explore nearby that you could spend a lot of time here.

Good to remember that Albertville (a major city) is nearby and often easier to access from Doussard than being in traffic...

We had a really good time here and will definitely be back, the location is perfect for enjoying the lake and the staff are really lovely and helpful. We did find though that there was genuinely a real lack of reliable power supply as did our neighbours, the waste disposal is positioned in a terrible place and costs every camper several minutes of their stay as they hike to the bins because the convenience is for the collection of the waste company with no thought for the guest (something I could solve in a few minutes for them). I literally stood in the shower and said to myself I am going to get a Verruca in here and today I realised on the longest hike of my whole life that I have a Verruca! I am super hygienic and haven't had one of those in over 30 years....not happy and no doubt in my mind it came from that shower floor. Road noise is kind of a problem depending on your pitch and your personal fussiness and camp set up. Waste water drop off is awful and positioned poorly so your waste water runs into the drain in the foot path or as we found on second go if the foot path drain is blocked your waste water runs down the entire camp site path.....very lucky it was all hand washing water because the washing up facilities are excellent. Fresh water fill up is positioned in such a weird and unhygienic place I don't get it, just put 2 x taps on the left and right not in the middle. So a real mixed bag but none the less a special little place but just needs a little maintenance to match the high quality of the staff...

We spent a week in one of the duplex apartments - family of four with two teenage boys. The accommodation was basic, but spacious, clean and comfortable.

The campsite’s location is excellent, right on the waters edge. Cycle path, kayaking, beach all on the doorstep.

The campsite’s beach isn’t great - very narrow, stoney and mostly occupied by those whose pitches and mobile homes are on the edge. I actually felt like I was encroaching on their space. The public beach the other side of the campsite is nicer. And there are even nicer ones a 10 minute drive away.

The campsite itself looks quite good for young kids. For my teenagers and for us adults, there wasn’t anything really to entertain other than a couple of ping pong tables and a small sports court. The pool is pretty small - again probably good for little ones but not appealing to older kids and adults.

We didn’t go to the restaurant. It doesn’t have great reviews and there are other restaurants with good reviews within walking distance.

One other thing to mention is the WiFi is non-existent, even in ‘zone 1’ by reception area. At no point could any of us get on it. And my husband also had a problem getting consistent...
