As a non-vegetarian I was dragged along here by my wife (who is a meat-eater also) just because she likes trying new places. 12 Euros for a large green salad with cheese. 16 Euros for essentially the same thing with a warm courgette. Total bill with a glass of wine (4 euro) and a 3 Euro tip was 35 Euros. Not terrible, considering all the stuff you are eating is grown locally and probably as organic as it comes (if you believe it makes any difference).
There is a VERY limited menu. Literally a choice of 2 things for each course and even then they are not TOTALLY different things. Green Salad with Cheese and Green Salad with warm courgette for example.
The salad was tasty. Only disappointment was the tomatoes which were watery and tasteless (my own grown in England taste much better). Dressing was good and cheese was different than any shop bought one. But would I go back and eat there again? Probably not. At the end of the day it is a green salad, albeit well presented and larger than normal. Worth 12-16 Euros? Not really.

Read moreWent here for dinner a couple of years ago and had such a great experience as there also was a live band back then. Went back yesterday and had a lovely dinner again. Great service, also in English. Everything they make is vegetarian and bio, fresh from their own garden. The atmosphere is great and they also have a playground for kids. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. My meat loving partner even loved the beet burger very much ;)
Tiny minuses were that the server said they were out of fries fries (which can happen ofcourse) but they did serve fries to another (later) table. That’s weird! Also a sign stated that it was forbidden to smoke but we saw people smoke and the server didn’t stop them. But I don’t want...
Read moreThey say the only expensive meal is the one you didn’t enjoy. This was certainly true for me at Les Jardins Taillefer. I sat at a small table with the spilled remnants off the previous diner on a placemat opposite me. Expecting it to be removed I finally had to flag down the waitress and ask her to take it away. That’s OK she said, and walked away, leaving the mess on the table. It didn’t get much better. The water glass was not clean and the cutlery looked well used and dull. I ordered a burger that came with a salad and greasy fries. No one bothered to ask how the meal was during nor after, but by that stage I was not expecting much beyond an expensive fast food experience anyway. First and last time at this...
