Borderan is located higher up the village so people may be put off with that. However, the hotel is located in such a way that you can literally ski in and out of its ski-lockers, as there is a connecting chairlift right in front of the hotel. Plus, there's also a ski/boot rental at the same place. So, basically if you are in it for a short skiing trip with no apre-ski etc, this hotel is simply excellent. ||The hotel owner, Catherine was super accommodating to our ever changing demands. She was very cordial and helpful. The kitchen staff is also very nice and every night we were served excellent dinner. Not even once we felt the necessity to go back to the village to eat in a restaurant. Food was that good and versatile. ||Wifi works so so. If you're streaming something, can get stuck every once in a while, but that's alright. ||If there's one thing that I need criticise, it is that due to perhaps a miscommunication, our room was booked with two double beds, although we were 3 single guys. In any case, Catherine sorted it out by giving us an extra room for a really low rate. I would again come to this hotel, if I ever come back...

I’m not sure people really come to La Clusaz for the nightlife anyway, do they?||Decor is a little dated but the place is beautifully cared for and clean. ||The welcome from the owners couldn’t be more friendly and we genuinely felt looked after and “part of the family” the whole time we were there. ||I stayed for a four night break with my 18 year old son and we loved it. If we come back to La Clusaz we will...

The lady that runs the whole operation was very pleasant and made sure to meet our dietary accommodations when preparing the meals. Beautiful view of the mountain from our room, and overall the place has a warm, cozy feel. ||||Cons: The rooms (at least the one we stayed in) was really small (i.e. we had to squeeze past each other). Also, I didn't realize that she would charge extra for the tea after dinner, given that everything else about the meal was included (minus the wine, which I expected). Had I known, I would likely...
