Would not recommend. One young girl on arrival was not very friendly and could not speak English and made me feel awkward that I could not speak French. The other older lady with light blonde hair that could speak English was very nice and helpful.
However on arrival the security told us to reverse our 8 metre caravan with 4.9 mtr towing vehicle on to the main road which was clearly not achievable. When I asked him how he expected us to do this he replied, just go back...with a laugh. Then we have the pitch.....Infested with ants, wasps and mosquitos, including tiger mosquito! It was pure hell.... We spent over a £150 in the carrefour on repellant devices and ointment and Creams from the pharmacy. In 5 days I had over 27 bites! There was no spraying by the site staff whatsoever.
The toilets/showers.....some of the worst I've seen. They were definitely not cleaned once in the 5 days we were there, the steps up to the ladies(which men went in too!) Was covered in bird poo and wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there. In the actual cubicles there was never any toilet paper and there was poo and blood on the wall/floor.
The site shop was not very good, offered olives that were sat out in huge tubs open to flies etc.
The pool has no shallow end, and although the slides are good, the steps up are narrow and steep.
Bar area at the pool is small prison, a caged area full of smokers.
The local area however is amazing, the beach with bar Tongcoco is fantastic! Valras plage is super too! Saved our whole holiday! We left a day early along with many others there that told us they were leaving early, one particular family only lasted a few hours! Would not return unfortunately 😕
Further to the site's response: we did not arrive on site till 3.30pm, there were no other arrivals at the time we were there. The toilets were definitely not cleaned regularly, I took sanitizer with me to clean them before use. As for mosquitos, whilst I understand the area issue i can't understand why the site don't carry out regular treatments like...

The only god send was the resto next door to the campsite.|Trying to get information from the campsite reception was like trying to draw blood from a stone, they knew nothing about the buses that run past the campsite or actually just couldn’t be bothered to actually help out customers. |Even got a free shower from dirty water that had gathered in the drains of a caravan one day. Was sat enjoying breakfast and suddenly I was wet through in filthy stinking water. We spoke to the guardians of our mobile home and he basically said nothing no apology and whined he would have to get the ladders out to clean...
Read moreWe were really disappointed with our stay here.
On arrival we had to wait 45 minutes for check-in with around 8 other families, and only one receptionist on duty. No apology for the wait. When the second receptionist did arrive, she was very pleasant and spoke excellent English.
The pitches are a good size and shaded, but mainly dirt floor and not very well kept.
The sanitary facilities were unacceptable – dirty stairs, unkept shower/toilet area, piles of abandoned clothes and flip-flops left for days, dirty underwear in the toilets, no toilet roll or soap, grimy sinks, smelly drains, and showers that didn’t feel clean. Although there are supposed to be separate facilities, everyone seemed to use the same block. We only saw a cleaner once, who emptied bins and sprayed sinks, but no real cleaning was done.
Security staff rode around on electric scooters, but perhaps would be better used being more vigilant in and around the sanitary areas. In the evenings, there were also groups of youths running around and messing about, and it was noisy after 11pm with people talking loudly.
We noticed in other reviews that the campsite replies saying that the state of the sanitary facilities is down to customers and beyond their control. However, cleanliness and upkeep are the campsite’s responsibility – abandoned clothes, rubbish and unclean floors should not be left for days. Guests cannot be expected to manage hygiene and cleaning for the site.
Overall, this site does not feel well maintained, safe, hygienic, or well managed, which is a real shame given...
