Bourgogne Moniot — Hotel in Beaune

On first approach this place seemed rather unassuming and modest. But once you get to the rooms and look out, it's simply breathtaking. We had two connecting rooms that were spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was typical French with croissants and baguettes--simple yet delicious. The gracious host and owner (Françoise) made the stay truly memorable. She even hosted a private wine tasting for us. (The estate's wine selection was both tasty and reasonably priced so we ended up taking home quite a few bottles.)
