Castle of Santenay — Attraction in Beaune

Only did the tasting experience here. Compared to the other tasting experiences we had in Burgundy, this one fell far short of expectations. Although the presenter was polite, she did not take the time or effort to really explain the wines. We had some questions and she gave unenthusiastic and terse replies. Beautiful domaine. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately we arrived a little late for a full visit, but the lady at the desk still managed to squeeze us in for a tasting of some of their truly excellent wines. She also took the time to answer all the questions we had and explain a lot about the wines of the Cote d'Or.

Servizio pessimo. Siamo partiti da Milano per fare un giro della Borgogna. Scambio per oltre due settimane e-mail per fissare l’appuntamento. Chiedo in che lingua veniva effettuato il tour mi rispondono in Francese (vergognoso che nel 2024 non vengono si siano preparati per altre lingue) ma accetto comunque, da lì scomparsi. Rinvio un email per chiedere conferma, silenzio stampa. Arrivo giorno e orario indicato, non mi hanno fatto entrare. Dicendo che era impossibile ho fatto vedere l’e-mail, lei sorpresa dicendo che lei aveva altre persone. Neanche la decenza di dirci errore nostro entrare comunque.

Ormai è raro trovare chi ha voglia di lavorare. Ah il tour con degustazione non è gratuito ma a pagamento, quindi a quanto pare fanno schifo anche i soldi.
