Stayed here for 7 nights in our motorhome to meet with friends who live in The Netherlands. We arrived a few days before them so we could cycle along the Canal du Berry in both directions. Easy cycling. Location excellent for walking into Bourges. The cathedral is a must to visit as is the walk through the old city where the Roman walls used to be. The rest of the city is a bit tired but is being renovated ready for it being the European City of culture in 2028. Auchan and Lidl supermarkets only a mile as is an excellent butchers shop in the Auchan shopping centre.
The staff on the campsite are excellent. They work hard keeping the site clean, particularly the toilets. It is a very busy site but they always have a smile. Most evenings there was...

The facilities are very tired / old and really need updating. The soap is placed only in the women’s toilets - the men don’t qualify for soap! Our pitch (in the lower grass cul-de-sac) was fine, it could have done with a litter pick (which has been our experience in all of the 16 campsites we visited throughout summer travels this year), but is a long way from washing up / toilets.

Read moreThis Municipal camp site is easy to locate off a main route (there is no traffic noise when on site).||The pitches are of a good size, we have an 8m motorhome and with awning there was lots of room.||Water supply and EHU on each pitch which was great.||Two large toilet blocks, top one needs updating, but the lower one is excellent, great facilities and clean.||It is an easy 10 minute cycle ride into the medieaval centre of Bourges, which is highly recommended.
